AVENGERS: ENDGAME Concept Art Reveals That The Final Battle Nearly Included Ant-Man's Giant Flying Ants

Some awesome new concept art from Avengers: Endgame has been revealed, and it shows that the movie's epic final battle very nearly included Scott Lang's army of giant ants attacking Thanos' Leviathans...

Avengers: Endgame featured an amazing, jaw-dropping final battle pitting all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes against Thanos and his army of Outriders and Chitauri warriors. The Avengers' Leviathans also returned, of course, and while we saw Giant-Man take the fight to them, some concept art has been revealed showing a sequence that didn't make it into the final cut.

Thanks to Marvel Studios concept artist Jackson Sze, we have a piece of artwork showing that it was once the plan to have Scott Lang make use of some giant flying ants to take down an Outrider.

It's a legit shame this didn't end up being included in Avengers: Endgame because it would have been fun to see in live-action, and really wouldn't have required a lot of screentime; it also would have gone a long way in showcasing just how formidable Ant-Man is as a member of the superhero team.

Despite that, he was definitely still given a chance to shine, and his return from the Quantum Realm went a long way as establishing Scott as an A-LIst hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Check out the concept art below:

Could've worked in the background (although it might look weird to the GA then), but not as a seperate scene. So much already happened, so I'm glad the choose not to include it

Yep, me too.
Back when we didn't have access to internet (so easily at least) so i reckon they can handle it just fine.

@Doomsday8888 - i was actually talking about early 2000’s, im 24. Always had the internet. Although really my dad let me and my brothers watch whatever, he wasnt one of those ridiculous types that think kids will pick up bad habbits. Saw Freddy VS Jason in theaters when i was 7, then started renting the friday the13th movies and nightmare movies, then expanded from there

@dracula
Yeah early 2000, that's what i'm saying, obviously you cant compare what kids nowdays can have.
I had a gameboy now they can watch everything they want on their iphones.
My dad also wasn't very strict either but tbh...nowdays you have to be very careful, cause kids can easily access whatever they want unless you protect them from certain shit.
They are constantly bombarded with all different kinds of it and i'd dare say they are already numb to most of it.

I know a lot of people want more humanoid based enemies for these movies but I would love to see more monstrous giants for the Avengers to face. Bring out some of the old 50s Marvel Monsters or at the very least lets see Fin Fang Foom in Shang Chi.

Come to think of it. During the battle in Wakanda. If they were ready for it and Antman's tech is available. They could have just giant-sized every Avenger and take down Thanos and his army. Lol. It will be the end of it, but it is not a bad idea either.

@geekarchitect - haha right? Or even just one of the more powerful Avengers... like a giant Hulk or Thor would have been enough to end it all lol

With the power set they established for antman in the movies, hes truly the most versatile super hero. Quintessential even. Besides cap, he would be a necessary member of my superhero team

Perhaps if the movie's run time was longer as it was rumored it could've been added to the climatic final battle.
