AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: Is Robert Downey Jr. Teasing An Asgardian Makeover For IRON MAN?

We know little to nothing about what to expect from Avengers: Infinity War, but could Tony Stark be about to get a serious makeover? A post from Robert Downey Jr. points to that being the case...

When Earth's Mightiest Heroes go to war with Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War it's pretty clear that the team will find themselves seriously outgunned. However, if the comic books have taught us anything, it's that The Avengers could get some help from unexpected sources, including Asgard. It was in Fear Itself that the team was given some upgrades courtesy of Thor and Odin, but could Iron Man be getting some brand new armour when he heads into space to face The Mad Titan alongside his fellow heroes?

That's pretty much a given, but Robert Downey Jr. has got fans talking today with a photo he's shared on Facebook. It's clearly a fan-made image and is not an officially released piece of artwork from Marvel Studios, but the caption has everyone wondering if the actor is teasing a new look for Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity War in the form of some Asgardian armour. Now that would be awesome to see!

There's every chance Downey Jr. just shared this because he likes it/wants to get fans talking, but it makes perfect sense for Iron Man at least to use Asgardian materials to build armour which will put him on a nearly even keel with Thanos and the other cosmic villains we see in this movie. What do you guys think of this tease? As always, be sure to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

@MeAreLegend - I believe that's the Deep Space Armor, although it's referred to as the Godkiller armor sometimes.

This is the armor actually named Godkiller Armor: http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Godkiller_Armor

That is not new... It is a fan art as stated from quite some time ago. Maybe do a google search before writing an article.

@loki2371 - yeah... Josh usually makes a point to say that what he posts might be bullshit, but no one ever reads and just jumps on the "hate-josh" bandwagon. you even went as far as to say that he isn't aware, apparently without being aware of what he said.

"It's clearly a fan-made image and is not an officially released piece of artwork"

"There's every chance Downey Jr. just shared this because he likes it/wants to get fans talking"

@ALostCause - If he's going to say it's clearly fanart then why make an article at all, nevertheless title it "AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: Is Robert Downey Jr. Teasing An Asgardian Makeover For IRON MAN?"

This is the very pinnacle of bullshit clickbait.

@CuddlyCereal - did i ever say this isn't clickbait? no, i said he usually makes a point to explain why his posts might be bullshit.

god, you guys act like you don't come to josh's articles and talk in the comments, sometimes having a good conversation. this is the internet, people trick you, complaining about it got old a decade ago.

@loki2371 - Stop dude! Did you see the "?" in the end of the title of the article?????? Don't try to teache someone how to do something by pointing a thing that you think its a mistake. Try to make something better. Easy

@loki2371 - you're right, it's not fan art it's something you can actually buy:

http://geekologie.com/2015/06/beautifully-detailed-asgardian-iron-man.php As report here...it's my by prince armoury.com apparently...

And I agree facts should be confirmed before writing articles based on conjecture and not facts...doing so makes you look like an idiot...

I hope they go something like this either infuse his armour with Asgardian armour or have Dr Strange add enchanments.

I just find it difficult to see how Iron Man will be any use phsyically (his mind is what is truly important).
Compared to the cosmic technologies seen in Guardians, I dont feel the Iron Man suit itself is anything special. Certainly not strong enough to go up against Thanos.

maybe he uses ODINS workshop to build a better iron man suit, ("nobody dies armour like asgard") to fight THANOS. like he did in CIVIL WAR. marvney borrows random epic CB scenes and incorporates them into the movies all the time. would be sick
