Production has wrapped on both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, and in just a few months the epic battle between Earth's Mightiest and Thanos will unfold on the big screen. But until that showdown takes place and we are forced to say goodbye to some of our beloved heroes, we can enjoy some of the production celebrations - including a look at the gifts Robert Downey Jr. gave to each of the crew members.

Patrick Istorico, a film grip who worked on Infinity War, shared some photos of his new gift from one of Hollywood's biggest stars. It's a personalized cast chair, complete with his name on it and a message from Downey Jr. that reads: "Heart felt thanx from the center of my arc reactor."

It's a pretty sweet gift, but more importantly it just goes to show how awesome of a guy RDJ is. It's easy to overlook the "little" guys on a production set, so its pretty cool to see a star like Robert Downey Jr. - the face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe - give a personalized token of his appreciation to the guys who help bring the movie to the big screen.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018, followed by the currently untitled Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019.

@TheBLACKClunge - This means he is done!!!! He has never done this for a Marvel movie ending before. So IMO, this is an indicator that its a "thank you for all the years, goodbye" kind of present

Good on him. Nice to show some appreciation for the undervalued crew that work long hours for not a whole lot of money.

Honestly that's a brilliantly thought out gift.

Well done RDJ. The crew always deserve some love.

@InvisibleMan -

Well, you've got to factor in that the entire crew is probably in the region of 160+ people according to this;

Plus this is the gift for the crew, not the cast he's worked alongside for several films.

Man, I have a bad feeling this is a goodbye.
[frick] man, I'll be a sobbing mess if I have to say goodbye to Downey Jr's Stark.

Iron Man has been my favourite onscreen representation of a superhero since Chris Reeve as Superman. Robert Downey Jr. is going to go to that same hall of fame.

@Ragnarocknroll -

Either they'll kill off his character or he'll return for minor roles in future films, primarily as cameos. Then again, it's a big movie and most the crew might be leaving afterwards so perhaps he just wanted to thank everyone.

That's a very grounded and sentimental gift.

That's sweet. If Avengers 4 is his last time in the MCU, it's gonna be bittersweet to see him go.

Personalized Director's Chair $170

Crew of say 200

Total: $34,000

RDJ salary for Infinity War and Avengers 2: $200,000,000

Money spent: 0.00017 of his entire salary

Translation: If you make $50,000 a year that equates to you spending $8.50 on a gift per person.

Nice gesture but RDJ could have dug a little deeper on this one.

@411IDSigo - And in xmas you give and get gifts, for a net result of zero dollars given. Let’s cancel xmas, everyone. This guy gets it.

@411IDSigo - I believe the actual thought and effort that went into picking this gift earns some consideration. It is not a gift card for Ponderosa.
