After the tremendous success of The Amazing 2017 Edition, it's time to move forward, straight to the infinity! The last year was indeed, amazing. LOGAN exceeded all expectations, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok proved that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a force to be reckoned with, Wonder Woman became the highest grossing movie of the last summer and Justice League confirmed that the DC EU needs to seriously change the philosophy of making movies.
It's time to wipe the slate clean and look to the future. The next year starts with Ryan Coogler's potentially groundbreaking Black Panther. Josh Boone's The New Mutants will try to prove that low-budget comic-book movies can win big. The next movie has a chance to shatter the universe as we know it, the culmination of the last decade of the MCU - The Russo Brothers' Avengers: Infinity War.
David Leitch's Deadpool 2 (or Deadpool: The Second Coming) will unleash the "Merc with a Mouth" again, and Peyton Reed's Ant-Man and The Wasp will hopefully end the summer with a (big) bang. Ruben Fleisher's Venom may sound like a box-office poison, but Tom Hardy and a stellar cast gives me hope. Simon Kinberg will also make his official directorial debut with X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse is the only animated comic-book movie next year, and 2018 will end with James Wan's Aquaman. The rules are simple: you post your box-office and Rotten Tomatoes predictions below the pictures from the upcoming movies, or by using this format:
