What's Up With CAPTAIN AMERICA's Eyes In The Latest AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Trailer?

Even on his best day, there's just no way Captain America should be able to stop a blow from someone as strong as Thanos. A clue to how Cap pulls off this incredible feat might be found in his eyes.

It seems Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War will attempt to create an iconic comic book moment from the original Infinity Gauntlet crossover which saw Captain America and Thanos come face-to-face.

It's definitely an iconic panel, but most people don't realize that Thanos proceeded to absolutely annihilated Cap right after their brief face-to-face chat.

Now, let's examine one of the final shots of the newest Infinity War trailer.  Look at the color of Cap's iris as he stops Thanos' fist.

Now, look at Cap's iris in a scene from the trailer directly before this moment.  In the image above, Cap's eyes have gone from blue to a weird, yellowish hue.  Fans are speculating that Cap's sudden increase in strength is due to everything from an Infinity Stone to this actually being Vision in disguise.  The look on Thanos' face as Cap stops his blow is purely one of surprise.  One thing all of these theories share is that the change in Cap's eye color is a clue to things not being what they seem.

Or you know, could just be the reflection of the infinity gauntlet

@ComicBookPsycho - we are not talking about the gleam, we are talking about the eye color. And the infinity gauntlet would not have changed his eye color. also... since its mainly CGI that means that someone had to go in and intentionally change his eye color. You would not do that with CG just for a glove.

my thoughts

@PBIRD - Or it could just be the lighting they are using whilst filming?! Eyes look different under lighting conditions, especially when they are using gels for sunlight, and even makeup around the eyes. Good lord.

@toylled - I am a professional photographer, so my opinion about that wasn't said in ignorance.

Cap's eyes are yellow because he has a gigantic gold, shiny gauntlet inches away from his face which is reflecting in them. 😂😂😂
