Ahead of Square Enix's E3 press conference this week and the grand unveiling of
Marvel's Avengers (formerly
The Avengers Project), we now have confirmation that the mysterious, but highly anticipated game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the recently announced Google Stadia streaming platform.
One of the biggest games at this year's E3,
Marvel's Avengers was first announced back in December 2017. But given how little information has been shared about the game and how little we've seen of it, speculation that it could be a next-gen title started to mount. Thankfully, that doesn't appear the case.
While Square Enix will share official details about the game during its June 10th press conference, it seems that a poster outside of the E3 convention center has already confirmed one of the biggest questions.
Unfortunately, there's no mention of the Nintendo Switch, which is probably a bit disappointing for Nintendo fans. At least Switch owners will be getting
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order in July, though.
As for Marvel's Avengers, details about the game leaked ahead of the show, revealing it to be "an epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay." You'll be able to customize your own hero to fit your playstyle and team up with three other players.
Marvel's Avengers will officially be unveiled on June 10 at 6:00 p.m. PT during Square Enix Live E3 2019. Following the press conference on June 11 at 1:00 p.m. PT, a 30-minute E3 Coliseum panel with developer Crystal Dynamics and Marvel Games will provide more details about the game.
