AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Has Wrapped Filming; Production On AVENGERS 4 Expected To Start Imminently

...and that's a wrap on Avengers: Infinity War!

The Russo Brothers have announced, via Facebook, that their highly anticipated Avengers sequel has wrapped principal photography, which means on Monday, they'll be breaking ground on the highly anticipated Phase 3 finale, the still-untitled Avengers 4.

While production is slated to begin on Monday, July 17 and run until December 13, as per Omega Underground, expect filming to take a brief hiatus next weekend as (presumably) the entire cast makes their way to San Diego to be a part of Marvel Studios' most epic Hall H presentation yet. Details on what they'll show at SDCC and at their D23 Expo presentation today remain under wraps, but they're expected to feature at least the first teaser poster and footage from Infinity War and an official title reveal for Avengers 4 is also not out of the question. Regardless, stay tuned into CBM for the news as it breaks.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

I think he really wants to lie down. A movie of this scale can suck the life out of its directors. Looks at what AOU did to Joss Whedon.

Thank you Russo Brothers.

@KIDCOM - I think it's probably a bit easier since they are two brothers partnering through it and bouncing ideas, rather than just Joss Whedon with the weight of the world on his choices lol.

@KIDCOM - The bigger question is who will be left behind for post-production? Will it be Kevin Feige? Or will they have someone like Jon Favreau or John Watts step in to assist?
KIDCOM
KIDCOM - 7/15/2017, 7:57 AM
@GhostSurfer - definitely

@SonOfAGif - During Post production, the editor does most of the work, and i'm sure they have a DP that they have a great relationship with, as well as Feige and the EP. So i'm assuming they have built in light days to have a single brother or both can come in and advise on the final cut.

SonOfAGif - 7/15/2017, 9:29 AM
@Deonox - That's what I was wondering because in post-production if reshoots needed to come about they would need the director to determine what can be salvaged or cut. But without them physically present to edit and assist it will be interesting to see who will step into that role.

@SonOfAGif - Good point though. This sounds incredibly tricky. As long as the final product is good. Then i'm happy. Avengers 4 is the one im least worried about because they'll have over a year yo get the best possible edit

Excited to see all the outtakes of Paul Rudd improvising on Scott Langs reactions to Dr. Strange's magic output.

@ATrueHero1987 - Too soon. They won't have that ready until they at least have the rough cut made. Some people might not make the print. Remember the bald woman in AoU, the one everyone thought was a Dora Milage near the Thor vision scene

btw, I'm pretty sick of cryptic black and white images, that are seemingly meaningless, being used to promote a movie on twitter.

Like, what do you want us to take from that? that there is a train in the movie? okay. Hype level unchanged. Logan pulled the same crap.

Deonox
Deonox - 7/15/2017, 8:14 AM
@ALostCause - Don't take it too seriously. Think of it from their perspective. You're shooting these amazing movies that you're personally excited about but can't share. It's probably a game at this point for them to share something super cryptic, check out the comments 12 hours later and see what kind of crazy theories people pull. I bet they were really impressed when everyone guessed the spidey's lens pic in Civil War
BloodyBed
BloodyBed - 7/15/2017, 9:13 AM
@Deonox - I actually am thinking of it from their perspective, and I think it's still pretty lame. The spidey lens was a good one, but I can't for the life of me see how this could be important.

It seems like cheap hype-generation for a movie that doesn't even need it.

This is so much of a workload for the Russo brothers and the actors. Like, I seriously appreciate that. Sure, they got hefty paychecks to wipe their sweat, but this is some heavy hours and pressure.
