WE GOT THIS COVERED had the good fortune recently to speak with the star of Captain America:The First Avenger star Chris Evans. What followed was a very interesting interview. Unfortunately, most of what was discussed concerning the upcoming Captain America film has been reported many times. However, during the course of the interview the topic of the much anticipated Avengers film managed to enter into the conversation.

What follows is the portion of the interview pertaining to The Avengers...

So is there going to be six Captain America films then?

No, 3 Captain America films and 3 Avengers films. Marvel wants to lock you up. But Captain America: The First Avenger makes me more nervous out of the two, in The Avengers at least I’m sharing the workload. There is nothing that I’ve ever done that compares to the pressure of Captain America, this is by far the most nerve wracking.

In regards to The Avengers, I’m sure that Chris [Hemsworth] is going through a similar thing, did you build a camaraderie on set?

Ya, Hemsworth and I are in the same boat, especially with this film. We’re both kind of in uncharted waters, but it’s been great for us to have one another. And Robert Downey Jr. has been so great, he’s so positive and so available and I just didn’t know what to expect coming out of this movie. He’s so engaging and encouraging. He’s amazing, I cannot say enough about him.

I’m guessing that by now you’ve done your first scene with everyone in costume, what was that like?

Pretty cool. In Captain America: The First Avenger, you’re the only in a superhero outfit. The first day I came on set for The Avengers, the two that really did it for me were Thor and Iron Man. Seeing that Iron Man suit in real life was very cool and Chris Hemsworth, he is Thor!! He’s huge and when he gets dressed up it’s like “wow, this is the God of Thunder.” He’s a scary dude.

Did you hold his hammer?

No I won’t touch his hammer.

Thats pretty cool, I have faith in Chris Evans, I know alot of people didnt like the idea of him as "captain america"...But, I think ever since he started filling his boots, hes slowly maturing. Let's put it this way We wont be seeing Chris Evan "Human Torch" Captain America...unlike how we saw a Ryan reynolds "BE RYAN and NOT JORDAN" green lantern....He was just ryan reynols in a suit. :/

I'm happy for Marvel, though I enjoy the tales of DC a bit more...Sad to say this MArvel took this year...and the way things are going They might take over next year too.

Come on TDKR!!!! LOL

I wanna hold his hammer...... LMAO! Cap's "The Avengers" costume looks all sorts of badass, along with Thor's. I just hope Tony hits on Widow, and Thor drinks beer, that'll make my day. Wait, so is it official Cap's leading?

Aiiwolf...they got Cobie "Smoldering" Smulders, Amanda "FreakMe" Righetti and...Gwyneth Paltrow. There've been rumors that Natalie Portman will also make a cameo or something like that.

just wait...they might even invite Liv Tyler. and, who knows, Feige and Whedon might surprise us all by introducing Janet van Dyne in a cameo. anything's still possible. we've only just learned that CA: TFA even features Sharon Carter..just recently.

I don't know if anyone was aware, but during the Thanos speculation, Chris Hemsworth himself revealed that a new villain was added to The Avengers via his official Twitter account... So there could still be a possibility for Thanos being a major villain... And I'm sorry but I don't have any proof of this because, Chris's Twitter is currently unavailable at the moment. Also Chris already had an issue with an older Twitter account, which was unavailable due to identity issues, he even stated about the issue through this new account (which was my only source) which is now also unavailable maybe due to the same issues... However please trust me, it was official...

@Marvel: It's a weakness for sure, but it's also their biggest strength. They DO have a vision, they have a plan and a set-up they've been building for years. The cast knows it, the script writers know it, and the directors know it going inside a project so there's no confusion on what they're trying to accomplish. That's the problem with WB/DC. There is no plan, no sense of direction, whoever they get on the project is allowed to swoop in and do whatever they please with a character in their own contained universe. Not that it's a bad thing (Nolan and Burton shows how it can be a very good thing) but if WB/DC decides they DO want to do a crossover or a JL movie, they'll have to work their way around all these individual universes set up. Reboot this, shelf that, put this on the front burner, now it's on the back... everything's so messy over there when all they have to [frick]ing do is sit down for like 15 minutes and draw out a plan for what to do with their characters. So The Avengers may be coming too early, at least it's coming. From the way things are at the other side, I'm doubting I'll ever see a Justice League in my lifetime or hell, even a Wonder Woman movie. :-/

Picture this IT'S THE EPIC FINAL BATTLE IN THE AVENGER'S AND SOMEHOW AMERICA'S GREATEST HERO IS THE LAST ONE STANDING (CAPTAIN AMERICA). EH GET'S BLASTED BY THE ENEMY,THE SHIELD ABSORB'S THE IMPACT BUT HE GET'S BLOWN OFF HIS FEET AND LOOSE'S THE SHIELD. AT HIS LAST DESPERATE MOMMENT HE SEE'S THE HAMMER (MJOLNIR) THEN HE PICK'S IT UP AND USE'S IT TO SMASH THE ENEMY AND PUSH THE BACK ENOUGH FOR THE OTHER AVENGER'S TO RECOVER AND HELP DEFEATE THE ENEMY.the only way this can work is if hulk try's to pick up the hammer and can't do it.
