Today Online chatted with Natalie Portman about Thor, which is due out on May 6. She also spilled that she is signed on for two more Thor movies and that she is not going to be in The Avengers.

On how Thor compares to other action adventure movies she has been in:

"Well, it was really amazing to get to work with Ken Branagh on this and that was the biggest draw for me in the beginning. On some of the big action films, things like character and story can get a little lost and be overshadowed by all the big bang stuff. With Ken, he was very concerned with the text and with our characters. It was like, 'We're going to work on this as if it were Shakespeare.'"

On if she read Thor comics before she shot the movie:

"They showed me the Thor comic books when we started talking about it but, really, the first thing that interested me was working with Ken. I must have watched Much Ado About Nothing like 500 times, I love that film so much. (Laughs) He's just so wonderful and has really the best spirit and energy and focus, and it was so exciting to go to work every day. I can't say enough about Ken. He's lovely."

On Chris Hemsworth:

"He's such a sweet guy. He's incredible and a really talented actor. Ken told me from Day 1 how wonderful he is and there's no better judge than Ken. But, on top of that, he is deeply nice, like just a really good person and unaffected by all of this hoopla. He could do everything both physically and emotionally, and playing Thor is a part that is very demanding on both levels. You have to get the tone right and try to make it realistic in a heightened world. It's a comic book movie but you also want to relate to the guy. Chris just nailed it."

On if she is in any other Marvel movies:

"I'm not in The Avengers, but I'm signed up for the next two (Thor) sequels if they are made. I think these inter-related Marvel movies are great fun. The Avengers will be like Ocean's Eleven with the superhero all-stars!"

Hell just got a little bit colder......because I agree with grif :D

People that like the supporting characters coming together in the Avengers, like Pepper and Jane, are forgetting that each second of screen time they occupy, is one less second of screen time one of the hmm...I don't know....maybe the AVENGERS???? could be occupying!!!

It doesnt really matter to me if shes in Avengers or not. I mean shes a very talented actress and extremely beautiful but Jane Foster is known only to die-hard comics fans before Thor the film, so her presence not felt in the Avenger is no where near a problem.

Yeah it would be wasted screentime. The only people without superpowers that should be in this movie are shield agents.

Don't weep just yet. She said "but I'm signed up for the next two (Thor) sequels if they are made.". Really no reason to think THOR won't garner a sequel. So, I think THOR will have his Pepper Potts too. Even though, they need to take a tale to Asgard and get buck wild with shit. Get cosmic.

Yeah. No prob. There's way too much going on in Avengers to be dealing with the love interests anyway.

Save the movie budget. It's better spent in other areas like the CGI. They'll need plenty of it to make this movie convincing!

Thor sequels? I just hoe they don't go all "Studio execs think this would be a good idea" and F-up a good thing. Spider Man 3 anyone?

theres enough bloody characters in the Avengers already. There should be NO supporting characters from the individual movies. Just SHIELD agents, supervillains and the Avengers themselves. We dont want this turning into an overloaded movie, get some sense people

thats bullshit, they beta change that, i dont wana ruin the Thor movie for anybody, but the only way i can see him being on earth in the Avengers is if shes there.
