A few days ago CBM user Armageddon26 posted our first look at the actual updated costume Captain America will be wearing for next year's The Avengers. Now, the folks at Ain't It Cool News have managed to get their hands on some more images of the suit that offer a much better look at the outfit, minus most the glare.

nice costume 100x better than the one featured in captain america the first avenger.as good as it is this is better.

The movie news this year from SDCC is so tame compared to last year. A look at Cap's suit and an Avengers banner revealing the new Ruffal Hulk.

Awesome suit. Only thing I would've done differently is change the color of the pouches on his belt to a more brownish tint. Other than that, excellent

I don't like the thread they used on this one to sew it together with......actually, I just had to find something small to complain about so I wouldn't feel left out.....some folks just seem to always find something wrong......I LOVE the suit!

I think it looks a bit plastic... more like an action figure than a complex costume for a real character.

I would have like a more complex suit, with more details in the costume, specially in the blue part, a different texture, maybe darker, with more details...

Just by the teaser, I think Thor looked better than Cap.

Cap looked a bit cartonnish.

It's perfect - except for ONE thing. The cowl... I wish I looked like it did in the promo poster from the licensing expo, with the slightly raised wings and exposed ears. I was really excited about that. I hate the look of Cap's covered ears for some reason... Anyway.

It's gonna be the best film of 2012 :D

This is far far better than that padded piece of crap from TFA. Still, why didn't they rap the white all the way around the arms? Would have looked true to the proper uniform and altogether better IMO. Not crazy bout the useless silver shoulder stripes.

Tha't one hell of a costume. Still need to see Evans actually wearing it, but I'm really impressed with this interpretation. I just wish that I didn't have to hear that "Dylan Dog" crap every time I open a different thread. At least I still have something to bitch about.

The costume looks good, despite the silver on the shoulders. From what I understand, it is a heck of a lot more comfortable for Mr. Evans. I agree with Sagemode that the pouches should be brownish in color. I think the costume should give the impression of being military in origin.

@joker8 I agree. If I was going to nitpick anything about it, that would be it. Don't get me wrong, I really don't have any problems with it, but I personally would've tried to get away from the "helmet like" look. I like how it covers the neck like his iconic suit did, but that's the only the thing that I would've done differently...that is except for the fact that if I had designed the costume it wouldn't look this cool.
