The Final Four is here, and at last
the Kryptonians have fallen. Both General Zod and his Lieutenant Faora-Ul have been eliminated, but I think most can give them a hand for how deep in the Tourney they went. It was a still a close race between Zod and Loki, but the trickster finally prevailed, after days of grueling combat. The surprise of the week might be
Doctor Octopus failing to make the final four Comic Book Villains- usurped by the laser-focused and cold Winter Soldier. Another close bout, but now Marvel has a second baddie to lean on for the championship.
These are the Semi-Finals! Does Loki have anything left for Magneto, who has more collective votes than any other participant on the bracket? The Joker is still a favorite, but if Faora could put up a fight, there's no telling what the The Winter Solder can do. He remains the winning-est fighter so far. This is the choosing of the top villains in CBMs- based not on comic reputation, but by what they did
on screen. Time to decide who goes to the finals! You can see the
whole bracket here.
Loki (
Thor, The Avengers) vs.
Magneto (
X-Men First Class, Days of Future Past)
Loki, for all his wit, actually surprised General Zod with his underrated fighting prowess. Sebastian Shaw was an afterthought in this match. Magneto proved how insignificant The Kingpin truly was. Moves on with ease.
The Joker (
The Dark Knight) vs.
The Winter Soldier (
Captain America: The Winter Soldier)
The Winter Solider took Doctor Octopus apart piece by piece. For all of Faora's power, she is still a mere henchwoman. Defeated by Lois Lane no less. The Joker laughs.
