The Hottest Photos Of The Most Beautiful Actresses From Almost Every Comic Book Movie Ever

Merry Christmas! Female superheroes are finally starting to get their due on the big screen and many actresses have starred in comic book adaptations over the years. These are their those must-see photos!

For a very long time, the vast majority of actresses have sadly been relegated to being little more than love interests in comic book movies off all varieties. Regardless of whether we're talking about Marvel, DC Comics, or something else altogether, they've not been left with particularly fulfilling roles but that's something which is finally beginning to change (due in big part to Wonder Woman this year).

No matter the roles they've taken on, though, a lot of very beautiful actresses have played many different characters over the years and have delivered some incredible performances even if they have been the hero's girlfriend as opposed to a member of The Avengers! What you'll find here then is a look at who we believe to be the all-time most beautiful stars of nearly every comic book movie ever.

We know you're all fans of the photoshoots we frequently share on the site too so we've handpicked some of the hottest shots of each of these stunning actresses and provided details on both the movies they've been in and what might come next for them. So, keep reading to see these incredible photos but be warned that some of these could be considered NSFW (so make sure your boss isn't near).

To view the list of characters in its entirety, simply click on the VIEW LIST (ONE PAGE) button below.

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne's performance in Suicide Squad was bizarre, to say the least. The model turned actress isn't bad by any means but her weird gyrating as The Enchantress is all anyone could talk about and that hurt both the movie (the villain sucked) and her in a significant way.

Evangeline Lilly

Evangeline Lilly pretty much disappeared after Lost so the news that she would play Hope Van Dyne in Ant-Man shocked everyone. While many fans would be happier if she'd been cast as founding Avenger Janet, the actress will suit up as The Wasp next year in the appropriately titled Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Carla Gugino

Carla Gugino is a fan-favourite choice to take on the role of Catwoman in the DC Films Universe but has so far made only brief appearances in comic book movies like Watchmen, Man of Steel, and Sin City. Here's hoping that changes somewhere down the line.

Hayley Atwell

Making her debut in Captain America: The First Avenger, Peggy Carter's popularity led to Hayley Atwell starring in a short movie and two seasons of ABC's Agent Carter TV series. She's even returned as Peggy at various stages in her life and is rumoured to reprise the role in Avengers 4

Elizabeth Olsen

Elizabeth Olsen made a name for herself as the star of a number of critically acclaimed Indie movies but it's her role as the Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe which has become her most memorable work. Unlike poor old Quicksilver, her role is only expected to get bigger as time goes on.

Morena Baccarin

Morena Baccarin rose to fame for starring in Firefly and while she spent quite a lot of time in Gotham, her first real major comic book role came when she appeared in Deadpool last year. It's unknown if the actress will be back for the sequel but it currently appears as if she's been replaced by Domino.

Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer stole the show as Catwoman in Batman Returns and arguably remains the best version of the iconic character to date. Surprisingly, she'll make her return to the world of comic book movies next year when she suits up as Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp in the Ant-Man sequel.

Jessica Alba

There's no denying that Jessica Alba was a terrible Susan Storm/Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four but she did at least look good in the role! To give the actress some credit, though, her work in both Sin City movies was considerably better and it would be good to see her given another chance.

Amber Heard

A lot of supporting characters have seemingly been cut from Justice League so here's hoping Amber Heard's Queen Mera won't be among them! Either way, we'll see her return alongside Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry in Aquaman next year and that promises to be a lot of fun.

Halle Berry

Halle Berry may have crashed and burned playing Catwoman in that terrible solo outing but she was an awesome Storm across four different X-Men movies and the stage was set for her to have another major comic book role after starring in Kingsman: The Golden Circle earlier this year.

Brie Larson

Brie Larson will blast into the Marvel Cinematic Universe when she plays Captain Marvel in 2019 and you have to believe that the Oscar-winning actress is going to become the face of this shared world moving forward. The hero is expected to play a key role in Avengers 4 as well.

Rebecca Romijn

Say what you will about Bryan Singer's work on the X-Men franchise but there's no denying that he made a very bold and exciting move when he got Rebecca Romijn to strip off and play Mystique. She even made a surprise return to the role in X-Men: First Class for a blink and you'll miss it cameo.

Jennifer Lawrence

Talking of Mystique, when Matthew Vaughn wanted to cast a younger version of the character, he chose then up and coming actress of Jennifer Lawrence. While some fans have found fault with the way she's since taken centre stage in the franchise, there's no denying she's done good work here.

Famke Janssen

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner is the new Jean Grey but Famke Janssen remains the definitive live-action version of the character in the eyes of most fans. Things may have gone wrong for her in X-Men: The Last Stand but at least The Wolverine made up for that to some extent.

Anne Hathaway

Christopher Nolan wasn't really one for sticking to the source material, hence why his version of Selina Kyle was so different to the comic books (but similar where it counted in fairness). Despite that, Anne Hathaway still made an impact and remains keen on reprising the role in some sort of spinoff.

Marisa Tomei

We're betting you never expected to see an actress who plays Aunt May in a list like this! There was some controversy surrounding the decision to give Peter Parker a younger aunt but it makes sense given his age and you have to give credit to Marvel for humorously pointing it out on numerous occasions!

Jennifer Garner

Was Jennifer Garner a particularly good Elektra? No. Despite that, she did have a fair bit of chemistry with Ben Affleck (well, she did go on to marry the guy) and certainly looked the part even if she wasn't of Greek descent. It's just a shame the scripts she had to work with were so poor!

Eva Mendes

There was pretty much nothing good about the Ghost Rider movie starring Nicolas Cage but Eva Mendes did at least make for a somewhat compelling love interest. Alas, she wasn't asked back for the critically panned sequel but she's probably extremely grateful to her agent for that.

Blake Lively

Blake Lively's performance in Green Lantern was widely criticised, a surprise considering the fact she delivered a strong turn in The Town. Since then, she's made up for the DC Comics adaptations with a string of impressive performances so maybe husband Ryan Reynolds can cast her in Deadpool 3

Zoe Saldana

The female face of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Zoe Saldana is no stranger to the world of sci-fi after starring in the likes of Avatar and Star Trek. However, it's as Gamora that the actress really shines and you have to give her credit for delivering such a memorable take on this hero.

Liv Tyler

A couple of different actresses have played Betty Ross over the years but it's fair to say that Liv Tyler's version was quite a bit better than the one played by Jennifer Connelly (who recently starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming). Unfortunately, she's never returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Megan Fox

Megan Fox has never been cast in an actual superhero role but appeared in Jonah Hex alongside Josh Brolin and is a star of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies. Rumour has it that she might play Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens but time will tell on that front.

Alexandra Shipp

When Bryan Singer looked to cast a younger version of Storm, he chose relative unknown Alexandra Shipp. Her role in X-Men: Apocalypse was disappointingly brief but the actress is going to return for X-Men: Dark Phoenix and will hopefully have a much, much larger role there.

Malin Akerman

Malin Akerman currently stars in Billions but she came to the attention of most moviegoers after Zack Snyder cast the actress as Silk Spectre in Watchmen. Her work there was extremely impressive and it's a shame we haven't seen her in another superhero role since.

Gal Gadot

When Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman, fans were sceptical, to say the least. However, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice went some way in proving those people wrong but it was Wonder Woman which made it clear Zack Snyder had made an excellent casting decision.

Margot Robbie

Harley Quinn is not an easy character to cast but you can't fault David Ayer's choice of Margot Robbie. The actress stole the show to such an extent that Warner Bros. has given the green light to a Suicide Squad sequel, Harley Quinn vs. The Joker, and possibly Gotham City Sirens as well.

Amy Adams

Amy Adams is an actress most of us never expected to see in a superhero movie and while some have claimed that Warner Bros. should have found a slightly younger actress to play Lois Lane, that's nonsense as her work in the DC Films Universe has been nothing short of fantastic.

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman may have decided to walk away from the Thor franchise after The Dark World was released but her take on Jane Foster was definitely enjoyable and it's a shame she didn't stick around long enough for us to potentially see her become the female Thor from the comics.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Edgar Wright may not have had the chance to direct Ant-Man but he had already entered the comic book movie realm in a big way with Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. In that, Mary Elizabeth Winstead stole the show but she's sadly never been tempted back to the genre by Marvel or DC.

Tessa Thompson

We haven't had a chance to see Tessa Thompson in action quite yet but critics are already raving about her performance as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok. The actress rose to prominence for her performance in Creed and has also delivered an impressive turn in HBO's Westworld

Emma Stone

The Amazing Spider-Man franchise came to a halt with the awful sequel but that was probably for the best in Emma Stone's case. She went on to win an Oscar for her performance in La La Land as opposed to playing a resurrected version of Gwen in whatever The Amazing Spider-Man 3 would have been.

Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson may now be best known for playing Claire Temple in Marvel's Netflix shows but quite some time before appearing in those, the actress delivered a memorable turn in Sin City. She came close to starring in next year's New Mutants too before talks fell apart with Fox.

Eva Green

Eva Green was rumoured for a villainous role in Wonder Woman but her comic book movie roles have so far consisted of much darker fare like Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and 300: Rise of an Empire. Neither of those was that well received but the actress sure did look amazing in them!

Bryce Dallas Howard

We've mentioned one Gwen Stacy but what about the original? Spider-Man 3 wasn't a good movie but Bryce Dallas Howard's version was a lot closer to the comic book version in terms of personality and it would have been interesting seeing where Sam Raimi would have taken her in Spider-Man 4.

January Jones

January Jones was widely criticised for her performance in X-Men: First Class as Emma Frost and her movie roles have pretty much dried up since then. It's a shame too, as she was consistently good in Mad Men and should have injected a lot of life into this fan-favourite comic book villain.

Jaimie Alexander

Jaimie Alexander's role in the Thor movies led to her taking on a starring role in NBC's Blindspot and that could be why there's no sign of her in Thor: Ragnarok. Kevin Feige has, however, hinted that she could show up elsewhere so perhaps we'll see the Asgardian in Avengers: Infinity War

Scarlett Johansson

Debuting as Black Widow in the jam-packed Iron Man sequel, Scarlett Johansson's take on Natasha may not have included a Russian accent but her various appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have since established the character as someone fans would love to see in a movie of her own.

Jessica Chastain

Like Amy Adams, Jessica Chastain is another redhead most of us never thought we'd see in a superhero movie. That will change next year with X-Men: Dark Phoenix but we're still getting conflicting reports about who she'll play. It's like some sort of take on Shi'ar Empress Lilandra, though.

Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn had only a very minor role in X-Men: Apocalypse and was sadly portrayed more like a villain than hero. While it's possible she could put her bad ways behind her and appear in X-Force, it seems as if Simon Kinberg will be bringing her back as a baddie in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy delivered an incredible performance in The Witch and will enter the comic book movie realm with New Mutants. There, she will be playing Magik, the powerful sister of Colossus. What her future holds in store for her beyond that remains to be seen for the time being.

Zendaya

While the reveal that Michelle's friends call her "MJ" was arguably one of the most cringe-worthy moments in superhero movie history, there's no denying that the model turned actress did some impressive work in Spider-Man: Homecoming and was a great deal of fun to watch!

Alicia Silverstone

Talk about a blast from the past, eh? Alicia Silverstone was given the chance to suit up as Batgirl in the critically panned Batman and Robin and it's a shame that superhero movies weren't quite what they are now back then as she's a talented actress who deserved an awful lot better than this.

Lauren Cohan

Lauren Cohan is obviously best known for starring in The Walking Dead on the small screen but she joined the DC Films Universe last year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as Martha Wayne. It may not have been a big role but could we see the actress play The Joker in Flashpoint? Here's hoping!

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett first came to the attention of many fanboys when she starred in The Lord of the Rings movies. However, she'll take a far more villainous role with Hela in Thor: Ragnarok and while we still don't know if the villain makes it out of that alive, fans are hoping she'll live to team up with Thanos.

Emily VanCamp

Emily Van Camp first brought Sharon Carter to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: The Winter Soldier with a very, very minor role. She didn't get a great deal more screentime in Captain America: Civil War and it now remains to be seen if she'll reappear in one of the next two Avengers movies.

Cobie Smulders

Where has Maria Hill vanished to? The last time we saw the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent was in Avengers: Age of Ultron and with no sign of her in Captain America: Civil War and only speculation that she might appear in Infinity War, the character's fate is very much up in the air as of right now.

Karen Gillan

While the beautiful Scottish actress may not quite look herself in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, that's kind of the point, hence why she shaved her head for the first movie! If Avengers: Infinity War follows the Infinity Gauntlet comic book, though, there's a chance Nebula will get a new look!

Rachel McAdams

Doctor Strange was a fantastic movie but something pretty much everyone found fault with is how Rachel McAdams was treated. As Christine Palmer, she was a typical Marvel love interest but hopefully the last one and if we're lucky, Marvel will convince her to return for a much larger role in the sequel.

Natalie Dormer

Best known for starring in Game of Thrones, don't forget that Natalie Dormer also has some history with superhero movies. She made a very, very brief appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger as someone with a huge crush on Steve Rogers and the woman he shared his first kiss with (sorry, Peggy).

Pom Klementieff

Pom Klementieff made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this year and the stage appears to have been set for her to become one of the faces of that franchise moving forward. Before then, though, we'll see Mantis in Avengers: Infinity War

Which of these comic book movie actresses is your favourite? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that and these photos in the comments section down below.
