Last Survivors takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where Troy (Stephen Moyer) raised his now grown son, Jake (Drew Van Acker), in a perfect wooded utopia thousands of miles away from the decayed cities. When Troy is severely wounded, Jake is forced to travel to the outside world to find life-saving medicine. Ordered to kill any humans he encounters, Jake defies his father by engaging in a relationship with a mysterious woman, Henrietta (Alicia Silverstone). As Jake continues this forbidden affair, Troy will do anything to get rid of Henrietta and protect the perfect utopia he created.
The movie arrives in theaters and On Demand this Friday, February 4 (you can read our full review here), and we got to sit down with the three leads to discuss their roles earlier this week.
Our time was limited, but we did ask Alicia - who famously brought Batgirl to the big screen in Batman and Robin - for her thoughts on Leslie Grace's upcoming take on the Caped Crusader in Batgirl.
"I think she’s going to be wonderful. Her costume looks amazing and I’m happy for her. She must be very excited," the actress says in the video above. "Her costume looks way more comfortable than mine was [Laughs]. And a lot less vulnerable! Mine was like, ‘Bing!’" Silverstone added with a laugh, referring to the enhanced appearance of her old costume's chest area. "It’s just weird."
When co-star Moyer asked if it was more "fantastic" than "weird," she responded: "Fantastic? Okay, good. I mean, Joel Schumacher was at the helm of that, so... [Laughs]"
As for a possible return as Batgirl following actors like Michael Keaton, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire being asked to reprise their respective superhero roles years later, it sounds like Silverstone wouldn't necessarily turn the offer down. "I don’t know," she initially admitted before acknowledging: "I’m open to whatever the world brings me, right? I’ll see what happens and flow."
If this happens, then it will surely be in The Flash. It depends how loaded with Multiversal cameos that movie is, but for now, we'd recommend watching Silverstone's stellar work in Last Survivors!
