I loved Man of Steel. Great movie!!!

WB nailed Superman with Man of Steel as far as I am concerned.

Now onto batman vs superman... Or possible future batman movies

My question is batman going to be just a playboy in a bat costume or is he going to be a creature of the night that embodies fear? I.e. The criminals need to fight for their life rather than just trying to kill him or (it) you know what I mean.

All I am saying is if you were cornered to fight the devil himself what question would pop into your head? Would you say to yourself I can beat this guy or I just want live by any means...

While superman should be feared because of what you can see him do, the Bat should be feared because we don't know much about him, his abilities and capabilities.

He does have a grappling hook smock, bomb etc.... But do we or the criminal need to be aware that he has them. All that plays into the unknown. He needs to give the perception that he is supernatural.

But we know he is out there lurking in the dark ready to take out his pray yet his methods are unknown to most...
This movie need to sell it to the audience as well. In the movie, the public need to wonder if he does really exist.

It's like a magician, once you know the secret it takes away all the misteries... That is how I see batman, "if he really existed in our world."

Oh yeah he should also be a great martial artist. Not just a brawler.

Ps watchmen fights.... good job on that.

The bat is Not just some guy in a costume with toys and gadgets.

Got so much to say but time is not on my side.

And I almost forgot. Try not to put batman in a daytime scene pleeeeeease!!! Surprise us

Thanks

I agree. None of the cinematic versions of Batman have been the literally bat sh*t man behind the mask who's paranoia is so extreme that the whole justice league respects/fears him. It's going to be difficult though to do that and also make him able to hang with the justice league

Maybe the solution would be to tell it from a different character's perspective...

Do a creature of the night, shadowy Batman for once.

@TimDrake

That's because the script required them to act that way. Doesn't mean the audience necessarily found him to be scary.

It's the cape and the cowl that adds to the mystery is he a man or an apparition. CGI the cape, add unusual frown furrows to the cowl and semi-whiten the eyes so that you barely see his pupils. He could still look like a shadowy, tactical creature even in daylight.
