Rebooted BATMAN Rumored To Make Debut In The JUSTICE LEAGUE Film

Sources close to fansite Batman-On-Film state that a new cinematic take on the character of The Caped Crusader, Batman will be seen first in the upcoming Justice League movie from Warner Bros. and not in a stand-alone film. Read on for more.

The rumor mill for the Justice League movie continues. Reports from sources close to Batman-On-Film claim that The Dark Knight himself, Batman will appear in the Justice League movie (which will be written by Gangster Squad scribe, Will Beall) as a rebooted character and not in a stand-alone film. Nothing is confirmed yet of course, so we may get a stand-alone Batman reboot after all. Read what BOF had to say down below.

"Said [Batman] reboot will come after the JL film, not before. Therefore, the new cinematic Batman will be introduced in the JL film as opposed to a solo film. This would, according to my industry "FOBOF," assure the new Batman film series will be part of a "DC Cinematic Universe." - Batman-On-Film

Are you happy that Warner Bros. are deciding to (possibly, of course) go this way with The Dark Knight? Sound off in the comments below!

Figured that WB would do this. It's definitely the most logical choice. Though I'd prefer that they'd introduce the new Batman in a World's Finest movie, and then bring him to Justice League.

Anything before a Justice League movie would seem too rushed if they're aiming for a 2016-17 release date. Nolan's Batman would be too fresh in everyone's mind if they wanted to get a Batman reboot out before JL and after MoS.

OLD NEWS. We knew this already...

I hope they confirm the shared DC Cinematic Universe starting with Cavill in MOS. Cuz if now, me and DC are gonna have issues.

I like it, that way if they [frick] it up they can fix it before a full movie of batman comes out

I want him to be almost like a Nick Fury character at first. Appearing at the end of all the films warning of a looming threat and then bringing everyone together in JL. Then have the sequel be "Tower of Babel"

Only thing that has me worried about who's directing Justice League is that whoever it is will have to perfectly cast every single JL member other than Superman (Cavill)... This has me VERY worried! Since these characters are gonna branch out into solo movies, the casting has to be PERFECT... Whoever is directing JL better NOT f[ri]ck this up!!

Don't do this Warner Bros. Do not reboot Batman. You have an amazing chance to spin your DC Cinematic Universe out of the ending of The Dark Knight Rises. Don't throw away this amazing opportunity.

This is why I think DC has just created the perfect begging to there DC Movie-verse. Think about it. The hero of a city just sacrificed himself in the most selfless way. The city hated Batman for YEARS and then all of sudden he dies for them. How inspiring is that? So inspiring that Clark Kent hears of this selfless act that he become a hero! And then Diana of Themiscyra! And The Flash! And all the other DC Heroes! Then they come together and become THE FRIGGIN JUSTICE LEAGUE!

It's perfect to because Bruce Wayne is still alive! He can come back and pick up the mantle again! John Blake can be the Batman or even Nightwing for awhile and then Bruce can come back whenever. And here's the thing, it doesn't have to be Christian Bale. This is where studios need to learn that we don't need reboots. They need to start looking at Superhero movies the same way they look at the Bond movies. Keep the characters story going but just swap out actors. Just because Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan have told the story they wanted to tell, that doesn't mean we need a reboot explaining Batman's origin again. The only movie I would see DC rebooting is Green Lantern. The tone of that movie doesn't gel with the tone that Nolan's Trilogy and The Man of Steel have established.

This is the best way to go. And by best I mean the least questionable in a post Nolan Batman franchise.

@Trollhunter,

Clark Kent being inspired to become Superman because of Batman is rubbish.

I think this is the right way to go for Batman. Introducing him in a team before a solo movie sets up a timeline that doesn't necessarily have to be explained fully. This gives us a chance to see a film with Nightwing and Robin since the idea that Batman working with partners will already be there.

@ ThatWolfMan: EXACTLY!!! Mainstream audiences are much more familiar with JL characters than they were with Avengers characters before all their movies came out, but they look at the JL characters as cheesy! Making a JL film 1st will give them to revitalize these characters the way Avengers did with Hulk. If done right there solo movies will make even more money! And we all know WB is all about this: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

@REDSTORM: You couldn't be anymore right! I was gonna say that but I didn't wanna be bothered!

Superman being INSPIRED BY BATMAN?!? WHAT KIND OF SHIT IS THAT!

SUPERMAN INSPIRES EVERYONE ELSE TO BECOME SUPERHEROES!! Not the other way around!!

JESUS CHRIST! All this Batman hype is really making everyone forget about the greatness that is Superman!! smh *facepalm*

Eh. But what about The Man Of Steel? Is the new one going to be part of the conjoined universe? If not, it's gonna be retarded. DC is not making a whole lot of sense with this.

It would be kind of like they did with The Hulk in the Avengers because the Hulk in the Avengers was quite a bit different from The Incredible Hulk one so it is kind of like a reboot.

I think this is a good idea because everyone knows who Batman is so it could work as long as they don't rush it.Not rushing it is key to making a good movie along with good characcter developement and writing.

@ ThatWolfMan: Better question is: WHO THE FRICK KNEW WHO BLACK WIDOW WAS BEFORE THE MARVEL MOVIES! LOL (Other than the comic reading world of course! lol)

DC/WB needs to come out with more news on this... We better not have 2 different actors playing the same freakin character in separate movies or else I'ma boycott JL... YES... I WILL!!
