RUMOR: The Dark Knight Rises Local Set Report Reveals Potential Spoiler!

Taken with loads of salt, a London local visiting The Dark Knight Rises set has posted a potential spoiler regarding 'Bane' and of course 'Bruce Wayne.' Check it out!

It's well-known filming for Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' trilogy finale The Dark Knight Rises has been underway in London. And while several set reports & images hasn't revealed much about the undisclosed plot, a Sideshow Collectors user, intothevoid has posted what could be an interesting spoiler.

Foremost, on legitimacy, the user states:
A friend of mine claims to have overheard some of the crew talking about a plot point in the film, which is potentially a HUGE spoiler. I'm not sure I even want to post it, and i'm kind of pissed to have heard it at all. I have absolutely no way of verifying it so I've decided I will post it with the spoiler tag, and it's up to you to view it, but take it with a huge grain of salt because. I didn't hear is first hand, whoever said it may have been intentionally trying to mislead fans, and whoever said it may not have a clue about the plot himself.

The crew member was allegedly talking about Wayne being in prison. Secondly, there have been rumours going around around the set of there being another interrogation scene being filmed this time involving Hardy and Bale, in the context of the first spoiler, this throws up really really crazy possibilities.

The user then went on reporting other interesting tidbets regarding the set, and the filming location.

I spotted Conor O' Sullivan who is the makeup/prosthetic artist who worked on developing the scars for Heath's Joker in TDK. I actually followed him to a coffee shop and then approached him, introduced myself, and chatted about some things! I have no information from him about what he's working on on this film, nor did I try to ask out of respect for his job security. Filming now seems to be wrapping up and I don't think they'll be back tomorrow. Not sure where they are moving to next but have read some reports of them going to another location in England where they will carry out a controlled demolition, and then potentially onto Scotland, before heading to the US.

Though plausible, this should surely be taken with a grain of salt. What do you think?

The Dark Knight Rises' story details are being kept underwraps. Although, the films stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Michael Caine and possibly Alon Aboutboul, the film releases 20 July, 2012!

@Intruder

Very nice that you automatically assume that Bruce Wayne is in jail because people know he's Batman and he was caught. There infinite reasons as to why BRUCE WAYNE could be in jail.

i dont buy it. Wayne getting arrested: MAYBE but he'd be out in hours..unless its a "framed for murder" situation and if so, i wouldn't like that one bit. this movie has GREAT story potential with bane as the main villain so i honestly hope this is a unreliable source, 99% of the time it is so we'll see

He went to jail in Batman Begins......

I highly doubt that this guy stumbled apon a few crew members discussing plot points though, that just seems way too convenient, but you never know.

Since Nolan is taking Batman back to his roots by linking the 3rd movie with 'Begins' & 'TDK'. It could be an extended scene from 'Begins' where Bruce was in jail where he would eventually meet Ras Al Ghul. It could be that Bruce crosses paths with Bane before he goes off the train with the League of Shadows. Who knows Ras Al Ghul may have also met up with Bane in prison to also give him the chance to train with him secretly.

@CaptainProg - Umm Lindsay Lohan has been to jail, she is a multi millionaire... So has Dog the Bounty Hunter, Rip Torn, John Wilkes Booth, O.J. Simpson, Nic Cage(who had Dog the Bounty Hunter post his bail), just to name a few. All multi millionaires. Just saying.

Why would "some crew" just be standing around summarizing important plot points within earshot... how would they even know about these scenes if they aren't being filmed there and thus they aren't even involved in them? how would they know things you'd need a script for, and average crew people don't get scripts

100% fake guaranteed

It's a official; articles on this film will NEVER have any actual news unless it's cut and paste from a press release. This is a result of Nolan's tight camp and peoples desire to scoop the film even though there's nothing to scoop.

But RoBdOg wins the speculation award for having a good theory that is actually plausible in the context of guessing. That could actually be a plot point in the film. Still, I need to slow down with clicking on TDKR related articles. There's not much going on, but I'm not complaining. The last thing I want is for TDKR to be an open set like the Spider-man reboot.

Didn't they have a deleted scene in TDK from Begins?
RoBdOg
RoBdOg - 5/19/2011, 11:00 PM
NeoBaggins @ Cheers dude for the award lol. but yeah i agree its always iffy with rumours. you just need to see the logical side of it. I just go by- if it doesn't seem to be the Nolans or Goyers style then its probably bogus. But speculating is always good fun as it seems theres almost limitless different ways of telling the final chapter.

Plus I also trust Gary Oldman's judgment because in one of his interviews he said he reckons Nolan may have actually pulled it off (being better than the dark kngiht) after reading the TDKR script.

Jeffery @ dude where did you hear that? Do you know what the scene was or culd'v been about?

What if Ras set up Wayne for his murder from the

shadows to break down Batman

at the core? Ras could have Wayne framed

for

his "alleged" death, only to return from

the Pit and

demolish what Batman was trying to

preserve:

Gotham City. Just a thought...

This could fit in with my initial thoughts that Bane would be some sort of Special Forces brought in to deal with Batman. I think it would work well, but I doubt that there is any truth to this at all. For one, I doubt Nolan would try to recapture the magic from the infamous Joker/Batman interrogation scene...

If this is true, and that's a dinosauric "if", I'm betting this is a flash back. Perhaps Bane was in the same prison as Bruce (from BB) and was watching him and learning his fighting style before confronting him. Then he was taken away before he got the chance to fight him (thus proving himself to be the hardest man in there) and this is his motivation for tracking him down.

Another interrogation scene ? I think not !

Lets try and see the Batman slam Banes head into the table.

Utter nonsense. I agree with soaponarope. "Some crew" stood around talking about plot elements is like when a villain in a cheesy film explains his entire masterplan in great detail to the hero, and then wonders how he was foiled. It's like "let's stand round this corner and talk about secret plot details, where no-one can hear us". Needless to say, I don't buy it.

@ RoBdOg - The scene with Scarecrow, can't remember what site I read it but the scene with all the batman was from Begins. Could be wrong though.

The "Bruce Wayne: Murderer" storyline in the comics was really good and it involved David Cain framing Bruce for the murder of his girlfriend Vesper. Cain is a highly skilled soldier/assassin, who is on par with Batman and Bane in physical prowess and tactics. Bruce went to prison briefly before escaping. There's a sweet scene where he invites some thug inmates into his cell and unscrews the light bulb first, they enter his dark cell and get pounded by a pretty boy. It's not hard to imagine substituting Bane for Cain. There are also some really good parts of the story where Bruce almost resigns himself to being Batman forever and letting his life as Bruce go, but Catwoman changes his mind about saving his identity which fits perfect for the Nolan. Then Bruce's escape and life as a fugitive could even lead into his exhausted confrontation with Bane that leaves him broken. In Nolanverse, Batman survives, rehabs, solves the murder, defeats Bane. The city learns Bane framed Bruce and is convinced that Bane must've also killed Dent and framed Batman with a little help from Catwoman altering/losing evidence. Batman redeemed.
