Rumor Has It That Ben Affleck Is Torn When It Comes To His Future As The DC Film Universe's BATMAN
We've been hearing a lot of conflicting reports about Ben Affleck's future as the DC Film Universe's Dark Knight but now a new one points to the Justice League star being on the fence about what's next.
The story of Batfleck is in equal parts frustrating and fascinating but we still have no official word on what comes next for Ben Affleck's Caped Crusader. Is he going to star in Matt Reeves' The Batman? Will his final performance be seen in Suicide Squad 2 or Flashpoint? We don't know and it doesn't sound like the actor does either based on a new report. In fact, he's torn about his future as the hero.
According to Revenge of the Fans, playing the iconic DC Comics character hasn't been what Affleck thought it would be and everything from Warner Bros. trying to rush him into The Batman and the poor reception to the DC Films Universe has left the actor understandably disillusioned right now.
"The present Batman is still Affleck," claims the site. "A change in cowl will not happen publicly until Ben is officially gone, and he is currently The Batman. But like we have said, it’s a negotiation thing right now. Not money, but appearances and creative. Ben isn’t wanting to vacate, but not wanting to commit fully." Well, that clears things up! Not. However, it seems we may get some answers soon.
After all, The Batman is slowly coming together thanks to Reeves and Suicide Squad 2 and Flashpoint are on the horizon, so Affleck is going to have to make his mind up at some point in the near future.
