With so much uncertainty surrounding Ben Affleck's future as Batman in the DC Universe, there have been reports about Warner Bros. looking at Jake Gyllenhaal as a potential replacement.

The Oscar-nominated actor has shown a lot of range in his career, and would probably do a great job as Bruce Wayne. He has even been linked to the role before, during the casting process for Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. However, since Gyllenhaal has played so many other memorable characters over the years, it might be a bit hard to picture him as the Dark Knight.

Fortunately, tons of fan art has been created since Gyllenhaal's name first popped up in casting rumors. See what Gyllenhaal might look like as Batman below!

Some fans have also imagined Gyllenhaal as a different member of the Bat Family...

Jake would be awesome as Batman. But I don't think he should do it. He's too good for this mess.

Gyllenhaal is a great actor, but he's a bit too creepy looking to play Batman. It's the eyes, mostly.

That said...

@TheDayman - I've always thought he'd make for a good Joker.

Why instead of recycling the same "news articles" (in which nothing surrounding the story has evolved) you try making articles which promote discussion.

"Could Fox make Dark Phoniex work? Here is a list of all we know and what we can interprate"
" Where to take the story of Thor 4? Here are a list of classic Thor storylines"
Etc

It getting tedious seeing the same articles over and over "Batflex is leaving" (but there is no confirmation) "Ragnork out grossed Wonderman at the box office, but now Black Panther is expected to outgross both, but now...".

100% NO! Hire some unknown young up and comer and put the extra money into CGI.

There was a skit on Family Guy recently about how no-one can tell the difference between Jake Gyllenhaal and Jared Leto..... I'm inclined to agree.

@528491 - Easy to tell apart: Jake's the one that looks like Toby Macguire and Jared's the one that looks like a gender-bending chick. Have you seen this article yet? Lol.

Jared Leto wore high heels this weekend.
Actor and sometime rocker Jared Leto has always been a bit of a dandy, with a penchant for sparkly ponchos, floral caftans and coats covered in whimsical embroidery. But the fashion plate, who is normally sporting Gucci kicks or loafers, surprised folks when he stepped onto a red carpet event this weekend in high heels.

Vogue.com points out that Leto’s all-white ensemble — along with his pointy-toed, thigh-high heeled boots — were by Helmut Lang designer Shayne Oliver, known for his gender-bending fashions.

Yet Leto isn’t the only star to be seen sporting the elevated shoes. Kanye West, Harry Styles and Justin Bieber have all gotten a lift from a chunky stacked heels.

And of course the famously little Republican Senator Marco Rubio generated headlines (and ridicule) when he was photographed in a pair of Cuban-heeled booties on the 2016 presidential campaign trail.

Are people really so [frick]ing brain dead that they can't just imagine this shit for themselves in their head? You gotta have people spend five seconds in Photoshop slapping Jakes head on Afflecks body, or the Arkham City suit?

He's too short. Now, that he's with other heroes in the DCEU, scale (relative height) is more important). It should be Armie Hammer. He may be too tall, but at least he's not too short.

To buy into this, ahem, concept, you have to get past events in the Nolan Trilogy casting. He'd have to have Bumped Uglies with own sister AND the Joker. Brokeback Batman. "We're going to need a bigger cave!"
