Tickets are now on sale for The Batman, and while box office analysts appear to have conflicting opinions about whether the movie will open with more or less than $100 million, it has all the makings of a hit. Aside from that stunning shot of the Batmobile racing into action, we can't help but notice how utterly perfect Zoë Kravitz is as Catwoman here. Add a mask to that shot and she'd quite literally look like she had stepped straight out of the comic books (we'd say the same about The Penguin).
In related news, an international TV spot has started doing the rounds on social media with lots of new footage. As well as fresh dialogue from The Riddler, we see more of Batman's dynamic with Jim Gordon as the vigilant questions whether this could be the end for his time in the cape and cowl.
It appears Warner Bros. is still being quite selective about what they reveal in these previews for The Batman, and it doesn't feel like we've been spoiled in any way. The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham City.
Joining Robert Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.
