BATMAN v SUPERMAN Star Reveals Why Ben Affleck Has An Advantage Over Christian Bale
Man of Steel star Harry Lennix has weighed in on how he feels about Ben Affleck (Gone Girl) being cast as the Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and reveals why he thinks the American actor has an advantage over the British Christian Bale...
Batman-News have come across a recent interview with Harry Lennix on the Vintage Sound 93.1 FM radio show from earlier today in which the Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star shares his thoughts on what gives Ben Affleck the advantage over the actor who played the Caped Crusader in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, Christian Bale.
"I think he’s going to be perfect," the actor told the radio host when asked for his thoughts on the Gone Girl star taking on the role of Batman. "I’m especially excited that we’ve got an American actor here, that’s increasingly rare. The last guy, who did a great job, Christian Bale — is British. I think that when you’ve got somebody that doesn’t have to act like an American and embodies that ethos, if you will, then that gives him a head start. And knowing how intelligent and how artful that he is as a filmmaker and actor, I think he’s going to do a terrific job." This is an interesting take on why Affleck could have an advantage over his predecessor, but the very British Henry Cavill doesn't seem to have too much trouble embodying the ethos of perhaps the most American superhero of them all, Superman.
