A casting call in Troy, Detroit gathered vast interest from locals hoping to appear in the upcoming DC comics movie.
Thousands, waited over four hours for a chance to star as an extra in the film.
Maryellen Aviano, a Warner Bros. casting coordinator, said Sunday after representatives cut off the line for tryouts that she had seen about 3,800 people. “It’s gone better than expected,” she said. “We’re glad to be here on a spring day, even though it is still cold outside. I am shocked at all the people that are applying for jobs that maybe already have one. It could backfire on one or the other of us. But we’ll hope for the best.” About 8,500 people will be cast for various roles in the film.
Producers were said to be looking for
clean cut men and women over 18 to play business types as well as military and law enforcement officers.
This really doesnt reveal much about the film except from the involvement of the army which factored quite a bit into Man of Steel. Will they be there to clean up Metropolis or to tackle a new threat? With the casting of 'business types' it looks like Metropolis is starting to get up on its feet and deal move on from the events of Zods attack. Anyway, look out for set pics from the detroit area in the upcoming Summer months.
