Ben Affleck Explains The Dark Knight's "Oh Sh*t!" Moment In BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne is the most badass Batman to date, and that perhaps explains why he has something of a potty mouth in Batman v Superman. Here, the actor reveals how that came about.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a PG-13 movie, but it certainly pushes the boundaries of that rating (hence why an R-Rated Ultimate Edition is on the way). While none of the characters drop an F-Bomb like Wolverine in the past couple of X-Men movies, we do get an "Oh sh*t!" from Batman when he comes face to face with Doomsday. However, it turns out that the line wasn't actually in the script. "I just improv’d that," Ben Affleck reveals in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "I had a feeling that it would work and that it would be funny,” the actor says. “I improvised and I talked to Zack about it and I think this will really work because you don’t expect it – and because it’s Batman, and at that moment he is so incredibly overmatched."

The actor continued by adding that a line like that humanises the character, later pointing out that he doesn't believe a little swearing will upset younger moviegoers. "We’ve taken these characters and are treating them more and more realistically. It seems very realistic that he would say that at that point. Any kid has heard their father say that if he’s trying to hammer a nail and hammers his thumb by accident. I think that, unfortunately, all kids are plenty exposed to that particular expression." Are you taking your kids to see Batman v Superman this weekend?

@dannramm113 - the critics just showed how ignorant they are about comicbook lore.if they weren't they'd know BvS is a build up to the injustice saga. So they're tearing out their hair and gnashing their teeth cos cavill is darker than reeves superman.they better prepare to decapitate themselves when supes goes rogue and murders the joker after the death of Lois lane.been thinking of this movie since I saw it and will be seeing it for the 3rd time on Tuesday. The blu ray can't get here fast enough. Best cbm of all time!

@FrozenPhoenix - some people are waiting to see what the majority think, before they "choose a decision". fukin great movie. camera man is right. it linked well with the first man of steel and better explains it.
its not easy to give 3 icons screen time and keep fans happy.
SPOILER!! my only negative criticism was, the doomsday story was too soon and too rushed.

It was funny in the movie, too bad it was in the trailer.

But still great movie. Seeing it again on tuesday.

I know i'm in the minority but i Don't care, most of the complaints on here? I don't get them, not the same experience I had with the movie at all.

If you love it, Awesome you're with me, If you don't that's also awesome. Sucks you didn't have my same experience with the movie though.
