Jeffrey Dean Morgan Expresses Interest In Playing The FLASHPOINT Version Of Thomas Wayne/Batman

He played Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but now The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan has revealed that he'd like to suit up as another version of the Caped Crusader...

It appears as if The Flash TV series will tackle Flashpoint before the movies do, but during an appearance over the weekend, Jeffrey Dean Morgan expressed an interest in suiting up as the version of Batman who took centre stage in that story. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the Geoff Johns event featured the creation of a new timeline where Thomas Wayne became the Dark Knight.

Having played Thomas in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Morgan would be an obvious choice to take on the role, but you need only look at Watchmen for proof he could pull of this even darker version of the Caped Crusader. "Man, I would love to play that Batman... It would be very cool. Flashpoint would be very cool." The actor went on to tease that he's been asking Justice League director Zack Snyder for a larger role in this world, but the chances of that happening - as Batman or Thomas - do unfortunately seem somewhat slim unless we end up getting flashbacks for some reason.

If Morgan were to be cast as Batman in a Flashpoint adaptation, he would square off against Lauren Cohan as The Joker, someone he'll soon be working alongside in The Walking Dead as Negan...

Nobody cares about the DCEU. People care about winners like the Cleveland Cavaliers.

That might be why they cast him. I always thought it was strange they wasted such a great actor for such a small role.

@Kurban - Well, he worked with Snyder before.
