What DC character will The Rock play?

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has been teasing us for a while now that he's landed a role in an upcoming DC movie. But who is he going to play?

It's been confirmed for a while know that former wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will be playing a character from the pages of DC Comics in a future movie. The identity of this character has been the question on everybody's lips for a while now. A lot of people were pushing for him to play Cyborg, but with the recent casting of theatre actor Ray Fisher as that character, that option has gone out the window. In this article I'll speculate on which characters he could play, both hero or villain. Note: I won't be counting John Stewart GL, not because I don't like the idea, but because Johnson has already dismissed the rumour.
Let's start with the heroes. And where better to start than with the character he was first linked with:
Lobo

Yes, he's technically an anti-hero, I don't really care. The Rock has long been attached to play the chain-swinging, motorcycle-riding alien mercenary. Some have dismissed this choice as Johnson has said the character will be 'extremely complex', but I think the writing team at Warner Bros could flesh out this character a bit more for the big screen. This is a casting choice that the majority of fans would agree is good, so I think this is a viable option.
Next up is the last survivor of Mars:
Martian Manhunter

Jonn Jonzz is a character who may or may not make an appearnce in the eventual Justice League film, but the casting of Cyborg makes that seem unlikely. Nevertheless, many fans have The Rock pinned down as the Martian hero. Personally, I think this role should be left to Idris Elba, but that's just my opinion. I think this is unlikely as the casting of Cyborg gives the impression that they are basing their budding universe off the New 52 reboot, instead of the classic lineup.
Finally, I can't round off the heroes without mentioning the ridiculous possibilty he could be playing:
Aquman
I honestly can't see why people think this is a good casting choice- as much as I think The Rock is long overdue a superhero role, he just isn't the right fit for Arthur Curry. I don't think him being a different race is an issue, but the fact that Aquaman is blonde and Johnson would look frankly ridiculous in a blonde wig makes me pause. Also, I don't think The Rock would be able to pull off the King of Atlantis. My choice for this part would be Pacific Rim's Charlie Hunman, but again that's just my opinion.
Now onto the villains. Of course I have to start with the role most believe he was born to play:
Black Adam
There is no disputing that Dwayne Johnson would be perfect for this role. He's got the looks, the build, the personality, the acting chops.... he is Black Adam. But as the Shazam movie was postponed after the success of Man Of Steel, it seems unlikely that Black Adam will be making his way to the big screen anytime soon.
As well as Black Adam, some have suggested that he could portray:
Doomsday
I don;t think this is a viable option for a few reasons:
1. Introducing Doomsday pretty much guarentees they're doing the Death of Superman, and it is far too soon to do that story in the movies.
2. Johnson has said that the character will be 'extremely complex', and Doomsday is pretty much the most one-dimensional baddie in Supes' rogues gallery.
3. Doomsday has been portrayed before, in Smallville.
So, who do you think The Rock should play? Are there choices that you feel I've missed out? Let me know in the comments below!

Also The Rock is like Hawaiian or Samoan or something like that so John Stewart wouldn't work

Using The Rock for Doomsday would be a waste.

The Rocks role will probably feature a recurring role, so it probably wont be a 1 movie thing. that crosses out most villains, as you usually dont have the same villain through various movies.

I Consider Lobo more of an Anti-Hero, BH/Merc.
And Black Adam sort of an Anti-hero as well.

As for GL, my #1 pick for the John Stewart role is Chadwick Boseman. (changed my mind about the rock playing GL after seeing Boseman in 42)
I know some will say no john stewart, but Hal Jordan had his time and his movie f***ed up big time.

I hope it's Black Adam. I'd rather Jason Mamoa played Lobo, As for Doomsday, CGI him

@DEVLIN
im glad someone agrees with me on CGI/Motion Capping doomsday.
character is way too big to be played by a human sized person.

And I think Momoa could pull off a bad ass Hawkman, Aquaman or lobo.

He said that they were looking at writers, suggesting that it's a solo flick.

So I think it's either a Lobo film

or he'll play Black Adam in a SHAZAM film.

Either Lobo or Black Adam are types of characters that he would be perfect for.

Lobo, Black Adam and Doomsday seem like the solid choice for The Rock.
