Black Panther was always expected to be a hit - it is, after all, a Marvel Studios movie - but no one could have predicted that it would earn over $1.3 billion worldwide. That's an incredible amount and not only guarantees a sequel for T'Challa but also points to moviegoers being ready for more releases with diverse casts. So, just how many box office records did the critically acclaimed movie break?

Well, they're almost countless but a new infographic breaks down some of Black Panther's many successes and it makes for impressive reading as there as so many incredible achievements here.

Marvel hasn't announced a sequel yet but there's no need to fret because we currently know nothing about what comes after Avengers 4 aside from the Spider-Man: Homecoming follow-up. With any luck, that will change by the time Comic-Con rolls around but we're just going to have to wait and see. How happy were you to see Black Panther succeed? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

"Four-Star" Feige does it again with Ryan "Chillmonger" Coogler, next up it's the "Rampaging" Russo Brothers, followed by Peyton "Powderpuff" Reed to close out the summer.

I'm a total noob at those acronyms so I had to look them up. For the uninitiated like me:

LATAM = Latin America
APAC = Asia, Pacific
EMEA = Europe, Middle East, Africa

👍

I still wish the audience score on RT wasn't [frick]ed with.

There are actually some people who do that "the critic v audience score says it all" schtick with this movie, either because they're clueless or its the only thing they can latch onto as long as they ignore the whole story.

Bit of a misleading headline considering, according to that infographic, it holds just 3 records. And some of them might be reaching.
