Who Should Be BLACK PANTHER'S Antagonist In His Solo Film?

Black Panther is a great character, but doesn't have any notable villains. Who should be his villain in his solo movie?

Who should be Black Panther's Antagonist in his solo film?

As many Black Panther fans/observers know, his rogues’ gallery is not very impressive. I thought of two possible scenarios for a Black Panther Movie: one where Marvel Studios/Disney keeps his rights and one where Marvel sells his rights to Fox.

I was thinking in the first scenario, that maybe his villain should be a villain/villains of the Avengers like Red Skull (I assume he didn’t actually die in “The First Avenger”) Baron Zemo, or Taskmaster because they all possess the intelligence and skills to pose a serious threat to Black Panther and Wakanda and it would easily lead to an Avengers tie in. Also, if the Black Panther solo movie did well, it would be pretty awesome to see a Marvel version of a "World's Finest" movie where Black Panther teamed up with either Captain America. I think both would make fascinating stories. Both Black Panther and Captain America are symbols of their respective nations and it would be interesting to see how SHEILD would embrace an isolated nation as powerful and advanced as Wakanda and it would be fun to see Cap and T’Challa kick butt together. I think the interaction between Stark and T’Challa would also be interesting since they share technologically advanced and genius level intellect trait. I’d also enjoy seeing the dynamic between the somewhat care free Iron Man and Black Panther, since he has to deal with both being a superhero and running an entire nation.

I know that it is very unlikely that Marvel/Disney would sell Fox the rights to Black Panther, but I think this would actually be the best solution for the fans’ sake. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has access to so many characters, that I worry that Black Panther wouldn’t get the same level as shine that he would get at Fox. Fox currently has the X-Men and Fantastic Four. I loved “X-men”, “X2”, X-men: First Class” and “The Wolverine” (NOT Origins), so I would not tinker around too much with that franchise. The Fantastic Four on the other hand, has not achieved the same level of financial and critical success. Dr. Doom is arguably Marvel’s greatest villain (Magneto is up there too), but I don’t have much of a desire to see another Fantastic Four vs. Dr. Doom movie since I have already seen that twice in the last 10-12 years (and the movies just weren’t that great). The Black Panther has a long history with the Fantastic Four in the comic book universe and would work in their cinematic universe. Furthermore, I think Dr. Doom is the perfect villain for Black Panther. In some aspects, Black Panther is the heroic reflection of Dr. Doom. Both are rulers of their respective nations and possess diplomatic immunity, both are among the most intelligent beings on planet earth, and both utilize technologically/mystically enhanced armor. This is an extreme long shot, but a Dr. Doom/Latveria vs. Black Panther/Wakanda movie has epic potential.

Klaw. Doctor Doom isn't even owned by Marvel Studios anyway.

I got a feeling that we won't get a solo Black Panther movie before we see him cameo or have a small role in another MCU movie.

I don't see how a solo Black Panther movie would fit with the rest of the MCU, but I could've said the same for Antman.
Maybe an illuminati story, with BP front and center, would be the way to go.

it probably will be Klaw or Man-Ape

If I was laying out the Black Panther Trilogy I would start out with Erik Killmonger as they are perfect parallels of each other, both in strength, fighting ability and intellect, but while T'Challa seeks to move civilization forward N'Gassi finds it best to return it to more primitive times.

Next movie I would have Man-Ape as a crazed dictator from a neighboring country who forms a deal with conglomerate that wants to take over Wakanda. In this agreement he gains arms (Klaw) and pillages Wakanda's resources for a large payout. T'Challa steps in and defends his country while also dealing with the politics of being a King.

Third final act I would have Achebe as an amalgamation of all the psychotic generals and priests who use child soldiers to start rebels and take over area. Think Joseph Kony levels of evil. The craziness of his actions pushes T'Challa to the edge.

Bonus points Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad as Achebe.

Damm Alphaflex, I was going to say that. I'll forgive you because our name starts the same but I'm the most Alpha. Anyway, Third Captain America movie that also serves as the first entry in a Black Panther trilogy. Introduce one of his minor villains along with the big Captain America villains we still have left after Age Of Ultron (I have a feeling that we will have one of his big villains in either Winter Soldier or Age of Ultron, maybe both. A good candidate would be the Serpent Society. During Age of Ultron Zodiac (the modern incarnation of Hydra) is the villain and at the end Shield is terminated and replaced by Hammer. In Capt 3 Steve as disappeared and is trying to find the last remnants of Hydra (Or trying to uncover Hammer's corruption) and he finds something that leads him to Wakanda (Which I assume will be a hidden country). The story will involve Wakanda being in contact with outsiders for the first time. The Black Panther solo movie will then be about Wakanda being known by the World and it being either attacked by outsiders or there being a Civil War inside it provoked by Eric Killmonger. The third movie will probably be fused with another property.

heres what i would do have man ape as a super soldier and he with Klaw's backing invades wakanda and in return for Klaws help he provides him with vibranium. T challa is planning on going back in to reclaim what is his but he is stopped by shield who offer to help him for some vibranium so tchalla with hawkeye as backup goes back into wakanda to free his people.

I think a BP movie could be the best MCU movie yet if it's really backed by the studio and not just doing it for fanboy lip service...

Klaw makes sense, but I'm not exactly supportive of the villain of Marvel's first black superhero solo outing be a white racist. Pair Klaw with someone from the inside, like Man Ape or Erik Killmonger.

As the Grand Overseer of this here. Black Panther should fight whoever is behind The Winter soldier. As Vibranium as already been introduced into the canon as being what Caps shield is made out of. enlist Panther to oppose a super invasion from HYDRA in defense of Wakanda. It could explain the Vibranium origins and also how he meets the Avengers upon defeating HYDRA single handedly then he wants Cap for his Shield having Vibranium properties and he hunts the Avengers at the end of the movie
