Will Black Panther Appear In THE AVENGERS 2? Morris Chestnut Seems To Think So
We heard Morris Chestnut say recently that he was learning more about Marvel's Black Panther, leading many to think that he may be up to play the character in the MCU. And now, he sends another cryptic tweet suggesting that T'Challa will be in The Avengers 2.
Last night, Kick-Ass 2 actor Morris Chestnut tweeted that he was familiarizing himself with the Marvel Comics character Black Panther. This led many to believe that he was actually up for the role of T'Challa in the long in-development film adaptation from Marvel Studios. He has since deleted the tweet, seemingly flaming the fire even more so. Now, Chestnut has sent out another intriguing tweet in response to somebody talking about a Black Panther movie, suggesting that the King of Wakanda will appear in the follow-up to The Avengers before his own solo movie.
Of course, this doesn't confirm that Chestnut has landed the role of Black Panther, but yesterday's tweet ("It’s time to get familiar with the Black Panther character.") added with today's is certainly interesting. Plus, does "Not final" refer to plans for a Black Panther movie or his playing T'Challa? Either way, it sounds like Chestnut knows what's going on, and that he shouldn't be talking about it yet. What do you think?
The Avengers 2 is set to hit theaters May 1st, 2015.
