Black Widow has received positive reviews from critics (it currently sits at a "Certified Fresh" 81% on Rotten Tomatoes), but that doesn't mean the Screen Junkies team can't find something to take aim at!
In their latest Honest Trailer, the first Marvel Studios Phase 4 movie comes under fire for failing to do its lead character justice. Instead, they argue that Black Widow better serves Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova than Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff, a sentiment many fans agree with.
The Russian accents don't emerge unscathed, either, while the trailer also points out how many times Natasha narrowly escapes death in this movie before biting the dust in Avengers: Endgame.
Ultimately, it's all in good fun, but there are definitely some valid complaints to be found here. The biggest is probably aimed at Taskmaster, though we're not sure she was quite as bad as the Deadpool/Weapon XI hybrid we were forced to endure in X-Men Origins: Wolverine way back when!
In our review of the movie, we concluded by saying: "Black Widow is Bourne meets Bond meets Terminator...with two outstanding, badass female leads. Action-packed, funny, and at times surprisingly gut-wrenching, Cate Shortland's vision for the MCU is bold, empowering, and utterly unmissable."
