BOX OFFICE: CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Passes $800 Million Worldwide

Captain America: Civil War has hit yet another benchmark at the worldwide box office, but it still has a little way to go before it catches up with Batman v Superman and Deadpool domestically.

After earning $19.44 million in North America on Friday, Captain America: Civil War crossed the $800 million mark to take its current worldwide haul up to $807.7 million. Quite a bit will be added to that over the next two days of course, and before theaters close up on Sunday night, Marvel's first Phase 3 movie will indeed pass Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's current total of $868.4 million.

Domestically, Captain America: Civil War still has another week or two before it can become 2016's highest grossing superhero movie. As of right now, it's racked up a mighty $242.8 million, but that's obviously quite a bit short of Batman v Superman's $327.8 million and Deadpool's massive $362.4 million. It should ultimately end up topping them, but it could be a few weeks before that happens.

Overseas is a different story however. Captain America: Civil War has made $564.9 million outside of the US, considerably more than Deadpool and over $20 million more than Batman v Superman. Ultimately, the movie is guaranteed $1 billion, but how much further beyond that it goes will be really interesting. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts and predictions in the usual place...

This movie is well on its way of joining the billionaire boys club. Any doubts at this point is just ridiculous.
