Captain America Civil War ended its second tuesday with a strong $5.9M (Slightly less than than Avengers: Age of Ultron's $5.99 and more than Iron Man 3's $5.1M) for a grand total of $306.6M domestic on its 12th day of release. Globally it accumulated a total of $14.8M which brings its worldwide total to $971.9M passing Zootopia's total of $971M to make the film the highest grossing movie of 2016. It is still to be seen if the movie will stay at #1 with Angry Birds and Neighbors 2 opening this weekend, but according to Deadline, Captain America Civil War is looking to stay on top with a $30 to $40M third Weekend. Captain America Civil War should be hitting the $1B mark before the weekend if not this weekend.
