CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER Set Photos Reveal First Look At Sabra And Returning Joaquín Torres

Newly revealed Captain America: New World Order set photos offer a look at Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez), and Shira Haas as new MCU superhero Sabra. Check them out here...

Captain America: New World Order is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and more photos from the movie's set have now started doing the rounds on social media.

Once again, there are no costumed Avengers on hand, though we do see the return of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez). The expectation is that he'll become the MCU's new Falcon in this movie, with the character following in his comic book counterpart's footsteps.

However, we expect a simplified origin story that sees him don Sam's old wings, removing the fantastical elements from the source material. Having both heroes take flight might seem a tad similar, but the possibility of these firm friends flying into action together is undeniably exciting.

Anthony Mackie was also spotted on set as Sam Wilson, but the biggest talking point is our first look at Shira Haas as Sabra. She appears to be decked out in tactical gear and we're guessing this is as close as she'll come to suiting up over the course of this adventure.

The new Captain America will need all the help he can get in New World Order, especially with The Leader on the loose. Harrison Ford, meanwhile, is playing President Thaddeus Ross.

Remember, he's no fan of the "heroes" who defied the Sokovia Accords, and he probably won't want Sam serving as Captain America in place of John Walker. Throw The Leader into the mix, however, and we can't help but wonder whether we'll see the President transform into Red Hulk - with that villain's assistance - in order to take matters into his own hands.

Fingers crossed upcoming set photos are a little more exciting, eh? After Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania was shot primarily in The Volume, it's good to see Marvel Studios back in the real world, anyway.

Captain America: New World Order is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.

@Matchesz -
Change Sabra's race, gender, sexuality and religion - because nothing matters about characters anymore in the eyes of Disney.

But will she be a mutant?
Scarilian
Scarilian - 3/24/2023, 11:15 AM
@PlusUltra -
Does it matter, it's just a title at this point. They've no intent on introducing the mutants until Phase 7 at the absolute earliest and by then we'll have had a full or partial reboot with Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars/Avengers Forever.

It's like caring about Black Adam or Shazam 2 when The Flash is going to make them irrelevant.

TFATWS sucked so I have little hope for this one. Which is a shame cause I like Mackie and didn't mind him to be the new Cap. But after his laughable preachy speech, refusing the serum and sympathising with terrorists I just can't. Oh and his new suit was ass.

It's great that the superhero is Jewish. But does she have a Jewish superpower?
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 3/24/2023, 10:23 AM
What exactly is a Jewish superhero?
Judaism is a religion.

Would that make Daredevil a Catholic superhero?

FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 3/24/2023, 10:25 AM
@TyrantBossMedia - Daredevil is a catholic superhero. His religion has always played a big part in his character.

@TyrantBossMedia - ...yes?? His catholic guilt is a huge part of his character. Nice try tho
UncleHarm1
UncleHarm1 - 3/24/2023, 10:29 AM
@PlusUltra - I mean he literally dresses like satan. In a place called Hell's Kitchen. And broods on church rooftops. And his mom's a nun. And he was raised by a catholic priest.
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 3/24/2023, 10:30 AM
@PlusUltra - but he is not listed or described as a “Catholic superhero”.

@TyrantBossMedia - And while Judaism might be a religion, there is such thing a Jewish culture.
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 3/24/2023, 10:45 AM
@PlusUltra - Show me where he is labeled specifically a “Catholic superhero” and then try to find that description on this site in a previous article about him.

And who is the “Baptist superhero” or “Buddhist superhero”
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 3/24/2023, 10:47 AM
@PlusUltra - There is also a Catholic Culture and a Buddhist Culture.

Slick EVERY religion has its own culture.

The word you are looking for in this case is Pandering

Radders - 3/24/2023, 10:47 AM
@TyrantBossMedia - Yep Judaism is a religion but being Jewish is tantamount to a race - ie you're Jewish whether you practice the religion or not.
Repian
Repian - 3/24/2023, 10:51 AM
@TyrantBossMedia - Perhaps she is a Mossad "supersoldier" on a mission to capture the daughter of the Red Skull.
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 3/24/2023, 10:52 AM
@Radders - You can be Catholic and not practice the religion.

You can be ANY religion and not practice that religion.

And being Jewish stems specifically from the religion.
You can’t be Jewish unless you go through the religious procedure to embrace Judaism.

TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 3/24/2023, 10:55 AM
@Repian - Actually THAT I would like to see. It would be a cool character.

@BlueOracle - thanks for the in depth breakdown
I once dated a Jewish girl, and my work mentor was the "Jewish mom". So I know a thing or two. But this was helpful!
