Generation Kill actor Wilson Bethel was recently announced as one of the candiates up for Captain America, and now Wilson has announced on his Facebook page yesterday that he's no longer in the running for the role of Captain America. There isn't a direct source to the Facebook quote, but IGN confirms it.

"O Captain, My Captain... I am not He... Thanks for all of the love & support."

I don't get why Mike Vogel is not Cap. He was one of the first 5 in the running, everybody is gone but him. So how come he is still in running, if they brought other actors,if he was good enough he would already be be cap, so why keep him.

Show me ONE *Official* statement from Marvel, Jensen, or anyone else involved with the film where Jensen Ackles is taken out of the running.

Until there is a statement or Cap is cast, he is NOT out of the running. Everyone ASSUMED he was because of the rumored scheduling conflict, but where is his statement like everyone else????

There isn't one....you know why...

...because Jensen Ackles IS Captain America!

This is great news.

The only official source that said Ackles was out of the running was the producers of Supernatural. If I was Ackles and I had a breakout role like this one open to me, then it would not be up to my producers.

Having said that, I want Evans for the part He was an awesome leader in Sunshine.

Matt Damon for Cap ..he's the only one that can carry this film and the Avengers movie !!!!

Unless they cast Ackels..btw Supernatural comes back the March 25th not March 28th.

Robert Patterison for Bucky.. he can do a song and dance rountine while the red skull ( Hugo Weaveing) beats his sparkaly ass back to the twlight set.

I got it Keanu Reeves for Captain America.."I'm going to get you red skull." " Mr. Ander...I mean Captain Keanu there is no one more powerful then me..Agent.. i mean redskull..!!! then while he's figthing the red skull on a plane.. He definatly has the look and the voice, but he is missing one huge thing; THE SOUL (no pun intended.

This guy does not come across as the likable Gung ho bad ass guy that cap just is!

Cap has soul man its a supernatural thing trust me...
