The highly anticipated release of the twenty-first entry in the MCU is fast approaching, with Captain Marvel soaring into most theaters by the end of next week. The film actually held its London premiere earlier today, and the movie will premiere in Los Angeles on March 4th. While we can expect an exciting L.A. premiere with stars from the film and the Marvel family at large, we now know of another party making an exciting appearance: the United States Air Force.

According to Airshow News, the Thunderbirds of the United States Air Force will conduct a flyover of the Captain Marvel premiere location around 5:30 PST in their signature Delta formation.

Monday, March 4, the Thunderbirds’ signature Delta formation will fly over the premiere of “Captain Marvel” in Los Angeles around 5:30 PST. However, around 12:15 PST that same day, the Thunderbirds will first conduct a practice flyover of the premiere followed by a round robin over Los Angeles. They’ll fly over the the Santa Monica Pier, Pepperdine University, Hollywood Boulevard, the California Institute of Technology, the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and finally, they’ll fly over the home of Major Stephen “Cajun” Del Bagno’s parents just north of Los Angeles.

This incredible support of Captain Marvel from the U.S. Air Force is a result of the close connection that Brie Larson shared with Major Stephen "Cajun" Del Bagno, who tragically died last spring during a training accident while testing some air maneuvers. Del Bagno served as a consultant for the upcoming Marvel film and trained Larson for her Air Force pilot role.

Del Bagno had become a member of the Thunderbirds before his death and, to honor their fallen brother, the Thunderbirds will fly over the house of his parents in northern Los Angeles before heading over to the Captain Marvel premiere. Brie Larson, who was devastated by the tragic loss of her friend, had posted the following heartfelt tribute to Del Bagno last spring.

Cajun, I didn’t know it was possible to feel my heart continue to break deeper and deeper as the reality sets in. You were a brilliant pilot and an even better person. Thank you for inspiring me to work harder and live fuller. When you talked about the Air Force; the adventure, the rituals, the community - I felt your passion and purpose. Your humble attitude and ideals have stayed with me and inspired a stronger approach to my work. There is no Carol without you. You helped create her and I am forever grateful. I hold the call sign you gave me with your fellow pilots and Thunderbird brothers with pride. Its going to take awhile to get over this, but I understand that this is life. I am thinking about your family and the broken hearts at Nellis. Thank you for impacting my life. Rest easy brother. Sparrow, forever 💔

@HeavyMetal4Life - Absolutely, this little girl is never gonna forget this moment and neither will Brie, look at that first pic you can see how genuinely happy and excited she must be knowing that she will get to be a role- model for young girls and boys much like Gal Gadot has as Wonder Woman, such a nice moment to be captured!

@HeavyMetal4Life - I have to admit the first thing that went thru my head seeing that last pic was that little girl being like...

"Who the [frick] is Brie Larson I came here to get Carol Danvers' autograph"

But in all seriousness reminds me so much of this...

I am filled with joy and jealousy all at the same time for both these little girls.

@Battabing - Hey, man, glad you are still alive after the Oscars. Thank God. We can't live without our most prolific "WB/DC Troll".

I know you aren't in the same level of Jollem, but keep trying, you will get there. I have faith in you.

:p

I'm just joking, you know. Cheers.
