After last years contest resulted in the creation of a 6 issue "Robins" miniseries from Tim Seeley, DC is at it again with a new tournement and 16 new entries! The first round of voting is now open and the first round will run through Sunday, April 3rd. Once the "Elite Eight" titles are selected, DC will reveal the creative teams signed on for each title and the 2nd round of voting will continue from April 5th through the 10th. The contest will run until May 17th when the final winner will be revealed!

Take a look at the starting bracket and see if any of these titles pique your interest.

This was a bad idea, is a bad idea, and they learned nothing from last year other than not to put a Bat family book in the competition.

@Waddles - About half of the pitches in last year's competition were things I'd have absolutely loved to read as a self-contained story. Instead the concepts were just dangled in front of us and then thrown in the trash. Just feels like a waste, especially when it seemed like the only chance for some characters to get their own book.

Then they didn't announce the creatives behind the pitches until at least the first round of voting was through, a practice they seem to repeat this year. Of course you could say it's done this way to put the focus on the pitch itself, but it just bugged me.

And if I recall correctly the final voting only happened on that one DC platform, instead of on Twitter and Instagram as well, essentially banning a lot of the people who'd voted in the first rounds from deciding the winner. Sucked especially as a non-US fan.

My vote goes to Animal Man. Needs more exposure.

A Conner Kent story?

That Animal Man and Firestorm story sound interesting af as well tbf; shame that there can only be one winner for this (as far as I know).

Most of those sound terrible, not surprising coming from the Dead Company.

@MitcHendricks - Agreed, DC books for the most part been a dumpster fire the past couple of years. The have to many writers that do nothing with the characters but use them as a self insert of themselves to push their own beliefs onto the characters with boring stories.
