COMICS: End Of The Marvel Universe And "Battleworld" Teased In Latest SECRET WARS Banner

“If you want the full story of what’s happening across the surface of this new planet,  BATTLEWORLD branded titles are for you,” says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso. “Who polices Battleworld? How do the various domains interact? What happens when those domains go to war?  What strange, never-before-seen creatures inhabit this world? What familiar faces will make appearances? Fans who want to fully understand how each sector interacts with the others can’t miss out on these books!”

Titles carrying the BATTLEWORLD banner will focus on the interworking and interaction of all the domains now fused together throughout the one and only remaining planet! The Secret Wars are waged as the last remaining fragments of dead universes fight for survival. Who rules these domains? Who comes out on top? Who lives? Who dies?

“The inner machinations of Secret Wars happen here,” says Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel. “BATTLEWORLD branded titles will be clearly marked through the Marvel Previews solicits as well as with well distinguished cover trade dress, this way both retailers and fans will know what they’re getting. Think of these as the new core monthly titles. “

What secrets are about to be revealed? Find out this may as Secret Wars enters BATTLEWORLD!

his event has proven to me that people on the internet are too dumb to know what the word "reboot" means.
also, no one outside of people in comment sections have said anything about a reboot.
all of the Marvel solicits are saying that they are combinding universes...that is kind of the opposite of a reboot...
but, who am I to use his brain and logic, continue calling trying to redefine the word "reboot", lol...

I am truly excited for this, and for the outcome that will be the All-New Marvel! A world where both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are Spider-man? Yes please! A world where we could get Blink and some Exiles on 616 Earth? I can dig it! This could end up being really cool.

The Marvel universe will never be the same......

Until the next event in 3-12 months where the entire universe will truly never be the same....

Until the next event. So on and so forth.

ugh this. I know people like Miles, but [frick] 2 spidermen. [frick] 2 supermen. [frick] 2 batmen. [frick] 2 cap americas. and [frick] multiples of any character. it is the most unoriginal garbage ever. just make the best of the awesome characters you already have ffs.

@scapegoatjones
there have been 2 spider-men for years....Peter Parker and Kain. I doubt Miles will go by the name of Spider-Man anymore though.
Marvel needs to get their number of female spider characters under control, with new editions like Spider-Gwen and Silk, and old favorites like Spider-Girl and Spider-Woman, the whole spider theme is a bit played out

so while dc goes back to segregating their original black characters with milestone, marvel is doing Crisis on infinite earths. maybe its time to give up on comics

The World is now inverted. Comic book movies are awesome, and the comics they are based on suck.

This will be another Marvel idea that people will hate on beforehand but end up praising afterwards. History needs no accuser.

But guys, how else are they going to have the comics match these movies that supposedly weren't going to affect the comics?

@DarkeyeZ Actually, the comics on which the movies are based are awesome. It is these new comics and changes, which are based on the movies, that suck.

@Tevii If this turns out the way that DC's New-52 did then I believe I have found the perfect jumping-off point for comics.

The New 52 ended my interest in DC, I am sure this latest move from Marvel will do the same!

@DarkeyeZ

yeah I understand that. I wasn't speaking in reference to this current situation with exclusivity.
Secret Wars should just be a book where all the various spider-people kill each other off until there is one standing.
same with this stupid 'Wolverines' run. steel cage match and done.

so wait...Is there NEVER going to be another earth? like are all marvel comics from here on out taking place only on battle world? like....forever..? im so confused by this. Is it going to be where the coolest most popular versions of each character will have 1 left standing an will end up in a NEW universe in the end? is that whats happening? I am sooooo confused.
