A lot of reviews were very underwhelmed by the story, but people also thought the art was impressive. I was tempted to use #36 as a jumping-on point but I really want to read Azzarello and Chiang's run, based on the amount of positive reception it got over the last three years.

Shazam's currently a member of the Justice League.

@DIAMONDZ
The outfit in this preview's pretty recent, but I can see the similarities.

@Nomis
If you take a look at ComicBookRoundUp, they collate as many reviews as they can find, kind of like Metecritic. The team's first issue literally has scores ranging from 10.0 to 1.0. So yeah, pretty polarising.

I had no problem with #36 and don't see why people are complaining about the story after 1 issue...

Issue 1 was good. I'm not a sentimental idiot though.

@Nomis

When you manage to make Wonder Woman look hot and badass at the same time, that takes skill.
