She’s managed to escape her past, her enemies and even the depths of Hell (literally), but nothing will prepare Patsy Walker for the hard knock life of job hunting in New York City! Being Hellcat is hard enough – why does being Patsy Walker have to be so hard too? Not to mention everyone’s going crazy for the reissue of the old romance comics that her mom wrote about Patsy’s actual teenage years. Getting recognized left and right is starting to cause trouble in both her personal and super hero life. But hey, nothing keeps Patsy down. She loves life, no matter what curveballs it throws at her. Get ready Marvel Universe – Patsy Walker’s here. And she’s ready to be your new favorite super hero. Don’t miss the debut issue of her new ongoing series when PATSY WALKER, A.K.A. HELLCAT! #1 goes on sale this December!

lol Trying to make it as a badass superhero. Get stuck under the shadow of your mom's comic book writing fictional accounts of your teenage years. The tragic life of Patsy Walker.

While I can honestly say I know little to nothing about her, I actually like what Im seeing here. She's a fun and free spirited hero, she doesnt take herself too seriously, and I think its cool that she rocks a look that still looks straight up 80's

@ComicsDoneRight She became a superhero with the help of Beast during his time with the Avengers. Became a reserve Avenger. Joined the Defenders team. Married the Son of Satan, died, went to hell, was rescued and brought back to life with extra supernatural senses(kind of like spider-sense for the supernatural). And and somewhere in between while she was working with Avengers, Drax the Destroyer's daughter artificially gave her psychic powers(even telekinesis) and then later stripped them from her but after the artificial psychic powers were taken away she developed a more subtle weaker version of them naturally. I don't remember if that was also a side-effect of being resurrected by her demonic ex-husband or if that was a separate circumstance.

Oh, also, her mom was a writer who started writing stories- fictional drama- based on her teenage years. Basically her mom capitalized on her daughter by writing fake-ass drama version of her childhood.

@STORMKAMI You want them to change her costume? Look what they did to Jessica Drew. Her new costume is a biker jacket and some wacked out goggles. :/

Maybe if they had a good design for a costume to show us, I would agree. I don't know. I'm not even that thrilled with O'Hara's new Spidey 2099 costume. It's nice and different...but it's not an amazing change to me. And it loses the spider/skull logo that was his only real identifying symbol.

@MrPositive

I thought the exact same thing! Even looked up the artist to make sure they weren't the same person.

I feel like comic readers as a whole have this problem where they feel like they are the only demographic that comic books are marketed to. The style, art, and character in general is obviously being marketed to teenage girls who Marvel wants to start reading comics; same with someone like Squirrel Girl or DC's Gotham high school crap. It's clearly not marketed for hardcore comic readers looking to hop into Secret Wars or something. It's for that kid in the comic book store who seems some cartoony art and is interested.

Change "comic books" to "everything" and you'll have nailed the truth!

@STORMKAMI Patsy Walker's costume is Tigra's old costume when she went by "The Cat" before she became a cat person. Although, Patsy has put in more hours in that costume than Tigra ever did.

And this is O'Hara's new costume

Gotta love all these devoted Hellcat fans who are totally upset by the way Marvel is handling her...oh wait they're just trolls and it literally could be any character and they'd complain about anything and everything.

Her character (Trish?) is probably the single dumbest individual in the Jessica Jones show.
She's like the f.ucking Laurel Lance of the show, i.e. she makes no good decisions. I'm just waiting for the Purple Man to come get her dumb ass.

It would be nice if Marvel would stop flooding the market with books that won't be around by the end of next year.

Seriously, who's gonna read this? Who's reading Squirrel Girl?
