On hiatus since last year, Arrow's digital comic book series will return this September with executive producer Marc Guggenheim tapped to set the stage for what's to come in season three. He will be joined by fellow writer Keto Shimizu and artist Joe Bennett. The events of the comic takes place between seasons two and three, and will be made up of two arcs. "We've tried to put in all the elements that people like about the show, so there will be Oliver and Felicity banter," Guggenheim said in an interview with TV Guide. "We're going to see what's happened to Detective Lance after he collapsed in the season finale. A good chunk of the burning questions left over will get answered in the tie-in comic." He also promises that we will be introduced to many of the new characters who will be introduced in season three.
The Flash showrunner Andrew Kresiberg meanwhile will pen The Flash: Zero Year, a story which takes place between the pilot and the first season's second episode. "Barry will [already] be the Flash, he will have his team, everyone will be in that world, and we'll introducing a new set of villains that we won't be seeing on the TV show. It'll feel like the same heart, humor and spectacle that you get watching Flash," he promises. The series is set to be co-written by Brooke Eikmeier and Katherine Walczak and features art by Phil Hester. Mr. Bliss (a character who first appeared in DC's Starman comic series) will be the main villain, and "He has the ability to manipulate peoples' emotions. He and his cadre of circus folk have decided that they've been pushed around long enough and are going to take it to society." Will you guys check these out?
