COMICS: Selina Kyle Gets A Brand-New Costume In The Upcoming CATWOMAN Book From Joëlle Jones
After a fair bit of time without her own book, Selina Kyle, a.k.a Catwoman, has earned a new ongoing series from Joëlle Jones, and along with the new comic the feline fatale will be sporting a new look...
While many popular heroes from DC and Marvel seem to receive new costumes every few years or so, Catwoman has gone longer than most without an outfit change.
The most recent costume worn by Selina Kyle’s alter ego has persisted ever since the legendary artist Darwyn Cooke redesign of the feline fatale was revamped by Ed Brubaker. Like a number of the character’s costumes, Cooke’s design saw Selina Kyle wearing a form fitting catsuit along with a pair of goggles.
Some of these elements from Cooke’s work will carry over to the costume when the new Catwoman book from Joëlle Jones hits stands. However, the morally flexible Kyle will be ditching her goggles in favor of a cat-themed cowl.
