Every journey has an end, right ?

Well that's true in fact for upcoming DC Movie Universe. Although it'll officially begin with BvS (since Man of Steel seemed like a stand-alone movie but with easter eggs), it might being end somewhere in far future.
For example Marvel Movie Universe, it all began with Iron Man and it made sense to lead up to Infinity War, with the heroes battling Thanos. However according to new dates, "Phase 4" seems to be more likely and will begin with Inhumans, so its ending is not known yet.

Anyway back to topic, we're not even sure how DCCU will end up. But i made some obvious choices and predict that either one of these "Choices" could end up as Ending of the whole DCCU:

Kingdom Come

"Based on the four-issue comic book with the same name written by Mark Waid and Alex Ross, it takes place in future that deals with a growing conflict between "traditional" superheroes, many metahumans and vigilantes, in many cases the offspring of the traditional heroes. Between these two groups is Batman and his assembled team, who attempt to contain the escalating disaster, foil the machinations of Lex Luthor, and prevent a world-ending superhuman war."

In my opinion, this would be a great finale for the whole universe. The concept is original, and we could see interesting conflicts between our favorite heroes, as well as their motivation, relationship, etc (as a whole; an awesome character development).
The only problem is it deals with a lot of superheroes especially if they debut somewhere in DC movie universe.
Plus it'll have a happy ending and we'd see scenes like old Bruce, Clark, and Diana have dinner together and yeah, i'd welcome a "Kingdom Come" adaption for DCCU finale!

Chances of happening : 7 / 10

Flashpoint

"Based on comic book crossover with the same name written by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert. It deals with the flash who accidentally creates a ripple in the space-time continuum, he finds himself in a war torn alternate timeline and teams up with alternate versions of his fellow heroes to return home and restore the timeline."

Before saying my thoughts, some people believe Flashpoint would be a great storyline for Flash solo movie. But i don't think it would, because it's such an important Storyline as it was responsible for creating New 52 universe.
One issue it has is that the character Thomas Wayne is needed. Rumors float that Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen) will be Thomas Wayne of DCCU according to set photos, so he should return and wear the unique Batsuit for this movie.

How will it end ? Well if only one day the storyline will be used as the finale of current DCCU, Warner Bros. will "reboot" their entire DC Movie Universe with a new timeline/actors and different tone, pretty ballsy move right ?

Chances of happening : 5.5 / 10

Crisis on Infinite Earths

"Based on comic book crossover with the same name written by Marv Wolfman. The storyline features crossover between many different earths of whole DC universe (multiverse), fighting against one Main Enemy and fix up Continuity errors."

As it sounds, it should have Differrent live-action universes to cross-over together to make this idea reality. Well there are:
-DCCU (Universe 1; main universe)
-Arrowverse (Universe 2; could feature CBS's Supergirl and TNT's Titans in same universe)
-Constantine universe (Universe 3; will be added only if future seasons get made to Expand the universe)

The villain "Anti-Monitor" is one dream to see in live-action, and i think he'd make an excellent villain for finale of DCCU.
While it's pretty difficult storyline to adapt in live-action (especially to general audience/non-comic readers), it'd be cool to see Stephen Amell's Arrow with Henry Cavill's Superman for example.

About the ending, the multiverse will be destroyed as the universes will be recreated as One single universe.

Chances of happening : 3.5 / 10

Batman Beyond

Unexpected right ?

"Based on animated show created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. It takes place in very far future of DC Universe, with Bruce Wayne being an old man who was retired from Batman mantle due to his age, with new teenager Terry McGinnis take his place as Batman of the future."

It's been reported for a while in early 2000s, Warner Bros. planned a Batman Beyond live-action movie due to show's success, but got cancelled. It's also being a wish-list by fans to see this in cinematic form which would be very cool.
While there's not a single evidence that such a timeline could exist in future of DC Movie Universe, one strange reason Warner Bros. went forward with an Older Batman is to set up Batman Beyond in future sooner than later (considering Ben Affleck's age in early 40s with him playing batman for a decade to 15 years, it's possible in case).

In my opinion, Batman Beyond's universe would be the best to see as finale of DCCU, because it was never made in live-action and it'd be refreshing to see someone like Terry McGinnis take the batman mantle than Bruce Wayne once again.
The back-story, Terry's origins, his stories in different episodes of show would be awesome to remake in live-action.
That animated show alone made new fun villains (like Blight, Inque, Jokerz, etc.) as well as interesting supporting characters (Dana Tan, Max Gibson, etc.) who could be interesting to make live-action of.
Unlike previous 3 choices (Kingdom Come, Flashpoint, and Crisis), Batman Beyond would include a number of movies or maybe trilogy, so we'd see Terry's batman in multiple movies.

One issue is that while Terry's batman is the only superhero in future of DCCU, it's not known if successors of other superheroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and others would have their own movie. Treating them like Batman Beyond where we'll have Barry Allen pose as mentor of his grand-son Bart Allen for example. And have their own "Justice League of the future".

The ending is obvious that will be remake of "Epiloque" episode, where it'll tell the dark truths of Bruce and Terry as well as taking place another decade after Terry being batman.

Chances of happening : 9 / 10

So there you have it, we told some ways to finish DCCU. What do you think ? Is these choices were exceptions of you had in mind for finale of DCCU or is there any other choices left ?

Keep Batman out of the DC Cinematic Universe that would surely end it.I could see it collapsing in on itself.

Just thinking of using the idea of multiverses and bringing in the likes of Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin makes me thrilled. Now if only it was a reality.

I think the first initial series will end with a multiverse clash, with all the movie universes, tv universes etc. crashing over and leading to some epic teamups. Then about five or seven years later, do a small Batman/Justice League beyond series that lasts about four or five movies then end it there.

That imo, would be awesome but I'm hoping the DCCU/DCMU lasts until at least 2030, then starts again in 2037.

2030....Damn I'll be 35 when that comes holy crap.

I think Kingdom Come is actually far more likely. Consider that at the moment they'll need a good 15 years to do full franchises with their current slate. The current slate includes Superman, Batman, WW, Flash, Aquaman, Shazam, Cyborg, and Green Lantern franchises, not including Suicide Squad, Justice League, and "Justice League Dark". That's 11 individual franchises with potentially three movies apiece.

Now, the next five years will see no less than 10 of those movies, spaced 2 per year. At that pace, not adding new heroes, it would take an additional 10 years to complete the cinematic universe. Add new characters such as Doctor Fate and Hawkman, and you're looking at three movies per year over the course of the next 15 years.

But, 15 years from now (circa 2030), Affleck will be 57, Cavill will be 47, Gadot will be 45. That's a good time to adapt Kingdom Come, especially if they loop in other franchise-less heroes and villains throughout the various films.
