Has Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Revealed His Involvement With A DC Movie?

Replying to a fan on Twitter, Dwayne Johnson may have just revealed that he's involved with an upcoming DC superhero movie. It's pure speculation right now, but hit the jump to take a look at his comments for yourselves.

Well, this is interesting! Dwayne Johnson has potentially revealed his involvement with an upcoming DC Comics adaptation. After a fan suggested that he would be a good choice to play Gravedigger or John Stewart, he took the time to reply with the cryptic tease you see below. The wrestler turned actor recently told CBM that he is still very interested in playing Black Adam (you can find that interview HERE) so whether or not this relates to that or something else (Lobo perhaps?!) is unknown at this point.

Unless he's just having a bit of fun with his followers, this should come as very good news for comic book fans. Which DC character would you like to see "The Rock" portray on the big screen? We know that Lobo is currently being worked on by Journey 2's Brad Peyton, so it would surely come as no surprise if the two end up working together on that. Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.

Many thanks to @super_dog for the heads up.

He should be Black Adam not freaking John Stewart. John Stewart is black and is the first black Green Lantern so changing that would really messed up.

Please don't ruin Lobo by turning him into a family friendly cartoon character, WB.

Lobo says "Frag that!"

I seen interview b4 he said he would like to play Black Adam it is not certain because like he said in Hollywood ideas come and are large then they die down I would love to see a Captain Marvel movie but I wanted to be The Captain Marvel movie meaning make it right & know how to bring it to modern day, WB really needs to let DC get action with their characters in their movies or go the direction of Richard Donner, Chris Nolan or the Wachowski brothers have done with DC Universe movies & that is directors & producers with great visions for these characters.

Maybe it would also be good to let people from DC who work in the animated properties have insight too. But Rock would be good as Black Adam hope to see it one day Shazam is awesome!

he could be good for diferent DC roles but until WB get their head out of their ásses and make a decent, non batman related, DC movie, maybe until then, we can expect The Rcock making a superhero movie with them....

He'd make a great Black Adam... knowing how stupid WB is, it wouldnt surprise me if they miscast him as John Stewart. They might be thinking, "Hey the Rock rejuvenated the Journey to the Center of the Earth franchise as well as the Fast and Furious and Gi Joe franchises, maybe he can do the same for Green Lantern."
Rock would be wise to avoid a Warner Bros. Dc movie for a while anyway. They are too busy ruining their properties right now. They need another big fail before they change their strategy and with TDKR happening this summer, they arent changing for a few more years.

the Rock is a monster to movie studios right now. he put life back in the Fast and Furious franchise as well as the Journey to the Center of the Earth franchise as well. Now he is set to do the same to the GI Joe franchise. His movies generate tons of money. It is pretty obvious he is destined to be casted as a kick ass superhero at some point. If its DC or Marvel, the studios can't loose when it comes to the Rock.

Black Adam is the obvious role for the Rock based on looks. But based on how good he portrays military characters (fast five, G.I. Joe) and being that John Stewart has a big military background I think the Rock could own the part! If he gets either part i'm stoked!!!

but yet The Rock can still kick-ass on film

So they are going to use the Rock to revive the Green Lantern Franchise. Not sure even he can dot it, but I would check it out.

I know he's done some dumb movies in the past but The Rock is an incredibly underrated actor and as proven by his performance in The Mummy Returns (As one of the few positives from that crappy movie) he could pull of the villain role brilliantly. I still think he would be the perfect Shadow for an American Gods movie though.

Black Adam needs Shazaam. DC has so many characters that I would be surprised if they made a movie about a character so similar to Superman..So I don't anticipate seeing a Shazaam movie or Black Adam anytime soon. Jon Stewart might be interesting, but i'm not sure if he's the right guy for that. I'll also be surprised if Lobo ever makes it to the big screen. But would be a nice change of pace.
