DC Universe Online will allow players to create their own superhero alter-ego and play alongside the likes of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

This is all very well, but please PLEASE release some images with a little more action in them - maybe even a glimpse of a user created character working alongside The Justice League, is that too much to ask?

These screens are pretty small - to see larger resolutions please visit:

that's a good question @deadpool. I was 100% committed to this game until I found out that it's gonna cost me $180 a year. So basically, I have to forgo 3 games for every year I maintain my subscription to this game.

Having said that, I'm still probably going to buy this game because this is the type of game I've been waiting for my whole life!! City of Heroes on a console!

@Mmo416 - I swear to god, like no joke, I had the EXACT same thought process as you. It was like down to a point. XP

SO excited for this game!!! Can you create more than one character per account? Please say that's a yes.

You may lose 3 games a year but gain waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more game hours a year. it ends up being a better value.

@Teois42 Yes, yes you can.

The only reservations I have with this game is Sony Online Entertainment's involvement. I played Star Wars Galaxies for many years until SOE destroyed it twice. I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone thinking about playing a SOE game research SWG's history prior to purchase.

SOE has a bad habit of ignoring the playerbase. They cheaply alter/simplify things to cut costs, then tell the customers that "all the players wanted it." SOE calls them "enhancements" or "upgrades" (lol). I don't know if it is because cognitive dissonance or narcissism. I will never forget John Smedley (now president of SOE) posting a letter on the SWG forums stating how great their modifications were and how ignorant people were that didn't agree - despite a drop of about 90% of the playerbase on most servers.

The models/environment look fantastic and the story sounds interesting. That is DC's contribution. The gameplay is what SOE will be in charge of and it is what we have seen the least. I have high hopes for this game, but SOE left a bitter taste in my mouth.
