SPOILERS: You Won't Believe Who Batman Met In Today's THE FLASH #21

Bruce Wayne and Barry Allen took a trip through time in today's issue of The Flash, and as well as seeing some unexpected sights along the way, things wrapped up with a jaw-dropping return...

In The Flash #21, Batman and the Scarlet Speedster took a trip on the Cosmic Treadmill. Racing through time, the duo saw the history of the DC Universe; unfortunately, they just don't remember it! Those years were seemingly lost when Dr. Manhattan manipulated the timeline for reasons unknown, and among those featured were the original formation of the Justice League and the Crisis which saw Barry Allen die. We'll have to wait and see what that means, but things wrapped up in a shocking way.

As you can see below, Batman came face to face with his father Thomas Wayne, the Batman from the Flashpoint timeline. How they ended up here and the fact it somehow still exists isn't made clear, but Rebirth sure is getting mysterious. Hopefully, the crossover's next issue will provide some answers.

One thing we can safely say is that there's a lot more to Rebirth than meets the eye. The DC Universe could be radically reshaped by the time all is said and done (Superman has already changed his history by merging The New 52 and classic versions), and what we'll be left with remains to be seen for now!

@Ramiel - It really was. Thomas Wayne was truly dark. The kind of guy horror movies are made from.

That's interesting.

The art is good too, except I don't like so much how they draw Flash and the Speed Force energy always, like, "leaking out" everywhere even when he's standing still there. It's odd. :P

The faces look REALLY weird in that panel...not the best art for a major title like this..

Shit keeps getting better and better.
I'm a lil sad that Pà and Ma Kent are still dead tho, but that isn't related to The Button.

Ive always wanted to see Bruce Wayne go back into flashpoint (for some reason, looks like they might have found one) and find out his mother is the joker... Be Pretty Amazing.
