What is the Future of Damian Wayne

What is the Future of Damian Wayne

Some of us Hate him and others LOVE him... But what kind of hero will Damian be when he gets older?

Editorial Opinion

We`ve all had seriously varied opinions of Damian since he showed up on the Batman scene. All from hate to "I love this guy.". Everybody`s seen his future guise as Batman in the near and very FAR future. And we have all given our opinions on those too. But what about his secret identity, will he stay a Robin well into adulthood. Or will he take up another guise like other "sons" of Bruce have done.

Damian in one future as the 2nd Batman.

Speaking of his "brothers, do you think he`ll take up one of their mantles? I mean personally I can see Damian as a Red Hood, or a fiercer Nightwing or Red Robin. Maybe he`ll pick up a new guise. Evidently it`ll be dark and something with wings.

So in closing post some signature weapons(I see a bladed weapon in his future),ideas, super names etc. And I`ll put them in a poll to see what everybody else thinks. Thanks for listening to my idea.

I haven't read too much with Damian, but he seems too arrogant to assume the role of Nightwing or Red Robin. He doesn't seem to have much respect for Dick or Tim so he'd probably feel those identities to be beneath him. If he moves on from Robin I would expect him to create his own identity or take over the role of Batman.

I think Damien would end up killing somebody eventually.

Which is why I think he'd be the best replacement for Bruce as Batman(until Terry McGuiness of course).
Why?
Something dramatic needs to happen in the Batman U.
Killing someone, even unintentionally, would create a new dimension in the Batman mythos.
This needs to happen!

@headlopper I agree dude, I mean I would`nt mind him creating his own identity but he`s going to kill somebody.

Damian seems to be following Red Hood's path, but with Nightwing's mind

I'd like to see him eventually move into the Nightwing role, then move into Batman as he gets older. And later have him end up training Terry.

I've always hated terry's character.
I've always wanted Dick Grayson to become the future Batman

Damian better stay as Robin for, at least, the next twenty years. I don't like rapidly shifting through sidekicks.

@headlopper i think your onto something here. Things would be so messed up if Damian ended up killing someone whether thats on purpose or just accidentally. it would be a good twist thought to whats been going on which is... not a whole lot

Nah, Batman just has a fetish for little boys wearing daisy dukes and Peter pan shoes. :-) he can't help himself.

Just to clear things up. Damian actually respects Dick more than Bruce after Return of Bruce Wayne. Additionally,in the issue of Batman & Robin that came out this week, Damian kills the villain.

But he is in fact not a fan of Tim.

@RoscoeFolgers is right, he does actually respect Dick, and, although not so much any more Bruce, but he hates Tim. I could easily see him taking up the Nightwing in the somewhat distant future, if he ever calmed down and stopped killing for some reason, although I don't really wan him to.

Assuming he doesn't change his attitude about killing he could easily become Red hood, or a much darker and more violent Batman.

However, given his personality, I think the most likely option is that he's not going to be satisfied following in someone else's footsteps. he's going to want to go off on his own and try to do something completely new and awesome.

@LtAnarchy - I know, right?!

Think of the implications. Especially if the one killed is like a senator's sonn or something. You'd have the FBI in on it , hunting down Batman to try him for murder. It would be national news! Wayne would have to do everything in his 'power' to protect his secret identity.

Also, with Batman on the run, every low-life in Gotham would take advantage of the justice enforcement vacuum, and there'd be a major crime wave the Gotham police wouldn't be able to handle.

That would present a dilemma: The restoration of order in Gotham by possibly pardoning Batman , but undermine the justice system and deny justice to the Senator's family , so on etc.

Maybe an undesirable 'hero' might try and fill the void left by Batman and make matter's worse than better!

The possibilities are incredible!

I'd like to see him become Red X.
