Geoff Johns Will Return To Writing Comics In 2017, Teases Another New DCTV Show

Geoff Johns' top 5 DC events that he's looking forward to in 2017 has revealed that DC's Chief Creative Officer will be returning to comics and also that there's a new DCTV show on the horizon.

It seems pretty clear that Johns' return to writing a DC comic will involve the Watchmen characters that were behind the Rebirth event. But will that be a new series exclusively focusing on those characters or are we looking at another crossover event? There's still a lot of mystery surrounding Ozymandias and Doctor Manhattan's role in Rebirth so the safe bet would be another event series continuing on from where Rebirth left off.

As far as a new DCTV series is concerned, will it be airing on The CW, Fox, Syfy or some other network?  And with the large number of DC characters already appearing on the various shows, will it be another spinoff series?  Hopefully, some exec has decided to circle back to that Titans TV show that was in development a few years back...

Hopefully it's that Watchmen HBO project they planned. I'd be on board. Or a Question TV show on some premium network.

Its definitely gonna be a CW show. I think another team centered show too. Best guess is something like The Metal Men or Outsiders (MAYBE).

@ComicsBornAndBred - What are you thinking? Like they transform into humans for most of the show, then transform their skin into metal using basically the Legends Steel effect at some points?

No way CW would go full make-up appliance for a main character like Nipsy in the Wiz.

@Spock0Clock - yea they pretty much morph in and out of being human.

@ComicsBornAndBred - I could live with that. Can't imagine them getting a movie in the current regime, but CW is very much up their alley.
