The Eagle Awards originated way back in 1976 (way back when Geoff Johns was still wearing Green Lantern Underoos). And you can have a hand in who makes the cut for this year's winners. You know why? Because, you, the fans, get to make the nominations (including your choice for favorite comic-related movie or TV show)! Haven't heard of the Eagle Awards? Well, they were only hosted by a little someone by the name of Simon Pegg a few years back.

So place your votes by going to http://www.eagleawards.co.uk/nominations/. There are 38 categories, so give yourself some time. And when your choices walk across the stage to accept their awards, you can boast proudly, "Yeah, of course [Warren Ellis, Scott Snyder, Peter Tomasi, insert fancy pancy name here] won! I've always known they were brilliant."

The nominations round ends on February 29th, then check back to the site to vote from the selected top 5 for each category. Winners will be presented May 25th at the 2012 London Comic Con.
