In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Millar has revealed his plans for the beginning of his own comic book universe; the first stage of which we will see in next February's MPH. The series will be written by Millar, while Hellboy's Duncan Fegredo will be on art duties. "This is the beginning of a big plan I have for the next big period in my career as I build, I guess, the twenty-first century version of the Marvel Universe." This plan will apparently see four or five new books released across the next two years, with MPH being the first. The Image series will focus on a group of 19 year olds who gain the ability to move at light speed for seven days after getting their hands on a new street drug. "What comes next is kind of The Fast and the Furious without cars and a completely new way of doing super-speed in comics. I've actually been trying to nail a super-speed project for a number of years and finally pulled it off with this one…And setting a high-speed story in the place where they used to build America's best cars seems especially poignant." What do you guys think about Millar's plans? Sound off below!

I am all for him making a new universe full of new supers, but this book in particular doesn't appeal to me. Will have to read the first issue to be sure, though.

I think the concept sounds interesting and there is a lot you can do with speed powers.

Look how much more diverse The Flash's powers got over the years.

You can't deny the appeal of that Fast and Furious series (well I never watched those films but other people seemed to in droves) plus the whole superhero craze is still in affect.

It sounds like a lot of fun.
