AMAZING SPIDER-MAN's "Beyond" Era Comes To A Close In January With Peter Parker Vs. Ben Reilly!

Marvel Comics has confirmed the "Beyond Era" of Amazing Spider-Man will reach its conclusion in March, and Ben Reilly's time as the wall-crawler is going to end with a bang...and a fight with Peter Parker!

In recent months, Zeb Wells, Patrick Gleason, Cody Ziglar, Kelly Thompson, and Saladin Ahmed have delivered a fresh spin on the wall-crawler in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man. The "Beyond Era" has put Ben Reilly back in the classic red and blue suit, though it's clear there's more to the organisation than meets the eye. Now, Marvel Comics promises the biggest surprises are yet to come!

This March, Ben Reilly and Peter Parker will go web to web with the future of Spider-Man up for grabs as this period of storytelling comes to an end. What comes next remains to be seen, but Amazing Spider-Man #900 is fast approaching; fans had originally hoped Nick Spencer's run would culminate there with the restoration of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson's marriage, but that's clearly no longer the plan after his time on the series reached a weird, abrupt end.

We'll find out what’s behind Door Z in Amazing Spider-Man #91 as Ben makes his way to the same place Miles Morales was last at, and he is nowhere to be found. Just door after door of true horrors. Any door’s resident could kill Spider-Man, but Door Z’s might just destroy the whole city.

Then, in issue #92, we'll discover what really happened to the Lizard. What could he (or more accurately, it, after recent events) possibly have to do with what has been battering Ben Reilly around? Finally, Amazing Spider-Man #93 serves as the finale of this era with an unforgettable showdown that Marvel Comics says "may surprise [you] with who you’re rooting for..."

Check out some cover art from the series below and stay tuned for updates.

When they said Beyond was involved I was expecting slash hoping for more off-the-wall antics, but the story has been fairly grounded so far.

I wasn't sure I'd like anything after the awesomely devious Kindred (who numerously killed Peter) but the Beyond era with Ben is nicely refreshing and sometimes quite funny.

I'd really like to see the creative process as numerous writers have to team-up, to give us a cool Spider-story three times a month. So far, it's going great.

@UXASIS - And if there is a team-up I wanna see (besides Wolverine) it's Spidey and the Daughters of the Dragon.

I'm on #79 right now. So far so good. To me a min to get into it,but different for sure. The new Ben/Spider-Man 5 part mini series should be interesting.Back to his 90's era. I'm looking forward to MJ & Blackcat:Beyond. What I really needs is some Kane in the mix.
