Marc Silvestri is a great artist but I'm not digging it on this book for some reason, I think it needs a good polishin' or crisper detail, I don't know just, doesnt look right to me.

So far the artwork is ok...Does feel like its missing something... I like the story, but Hulk needs to tangle with some of Marvel's best again to make it the shit.....Hulk vs Fantastic Four, maybe Daken & Wolverine,or Colossus as the Juggernaunt would be awesome...Epic fights please!!!

Look closely at the credits for this issue. 11 artists!Issue two and Silvestri needs help hitting the deadline already? The art may look a little off due to the inking,I think...

@SCURVYDOG619 I'm hoping they don't cross this over to
much with other titles. Its the first Marvel comic I've
read in about six years and don't want to be confused
by outside sources.

@m1312020...I hear you but I always feel Marvel never knows what to do with Hulk, my favorite Marvel Character next to Wolverine & Deadpool...I feel he always gets left out ( Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign ). World War Hulk is what got me back into comics....Hulk is pure bad ass and should be at the top of the Marvel food chain...but its seems the only focus they have now is Cap,Ironman, and Thor....Cap is always good but too goodey two shoes, Ironman is good but hasnt had a great arc in awhile, and Thor was strong til Fear Itself ( which sucked ). X Force, Wolverine, Venom are the only good books out, Hulk needs to be up there.

@BigHec One of my favorite Marvel characters as well.
That was the main reason I picked up this new start
and to tell truth I'm enjoying it.

It seems by your statement Marvel seems to be catering to
the new movies from there studio so maybe when Avengers
comes out with Hulk they'll pay more attention to him.
Also if the TV series gets picked up.

@m1312020 I hope so, the show would be great especially if Del Torro does it( Hellboy was great ). Right now Dc's New 52 is working and I think Marvel needs to get there core characters on point. Meaning Spiderman, Hulk, and Avengers....the real Avengers, I hate how many teams they got now....New,Mighty,Secret,Dark,( even though Dark Avengers is great)etc.

It looks good but I have noticed at my local comics shop a strong turning away from Marvel in the wake of DC rising to dominate half of all new sales in the industry. People seem to see Marvel as being a company willing to overcharge for weak product. It has been surprising to see longtime Marvel fans give up the ghost and turn to other publishers. Hopefully, decent titles like this Hulk relaunch will not suffer for it. Meanwhile Marvels Board of Directors needs to completely clean house editorially. They have the creative talent but something is really missing and it shows in recent sales dont you think?

@gasmasquerade I agree completely....They need to do away with alot of shit. Writers, stories, artist, etc. DC right now is fresh, great artists ( Lee,Finch,Morales,Ha )etc. They need to vamp up their core and keep the better books ( Venom,New Dark Avengers, X-Force ) Bendis and Joe kinda overdid too much with all those Crossover sagas and charging 3.99 for alot of books...

Hahaha loool! That made me cry lol, looks like a scene from Twighlight: Hulk Edition lol...

Forgetting that, this looks cool though, I'm just curious y does Banner want the Hulk again? Thought he spent half his life trying 2 get rid of him... :S

@AK47 My friend likened Banner's situation to that of an ex-girlfriend who originally wanted the breakup. :P

Nevertheless, it is an entertaining read from these pages so far. I will definitely pick it up.

I like the new incredible hulk story, its not awesome but good and i was always a big hulk fa,he was always misunderstood by the so called heroes of marvel universe.

and as for INTRUDER - the number of comics marvel publishes is more than DC,always have been in a way that always helped them to have a higher market share.its basic economics.so no major surprise there,DC has always had more than 50% in the top 10 comics sold every month even before the reboot, and while it'll be interesting to see if DC can maintain this momentum/gap in long run it's encouraging to see that in October sales have actually increased which means people liked what they read.and critically (if you look at IGN,CBR) most of the comics have scored a rating of above 7 which again is very good.the major comics have been rated 8 & above.

i know you are a irrational marvel fan but at the moment DC is doing very well, and like it or not ask any unbiased person the quality of books are better of DC now than MARVEL (with some exceptions).DC also managed to do something special, bring new ppl to comic stores helping all other comics too.so for that we have to be thankful, who knows in the future MARVEL too might do a reboot like DC did.

By the by after DC's '52'
The Top 300 Comics sold
7.59 million copies
(up 31% vs. same month
previous year)
(up 24% vs. same month
5 years earlier)
(up 18% vs. same month
10 years earlier)
(down 27% vs. same month 15 years earlier)

Category to date for year
58.96 million copies
(up 1% vs. previous year)
That's only up to current month and with only three months
of the new DC.

Both publishers and any other's for that matter, are facing some real challenges for physical book sales in the future due to the digital- web phone- ipad- laptop- electronic EVERYTHING on-line business. It's gonna suck because without a power source , you can't read you're comics- paper comics don't need batteries and you can't sell a digital comic for $1,000,000 bucks on Ebay.(Action comics #1)
m1312020
m1312020 - 11/12/2011, 6:59 PM
@headlopper Yeah I hate the idea of comics going completely
digital, but as I stated before where dinosaurs who
soon will be extinct.
Its sad,but inevitable.The DC 52 is just a band-aid for
print comics, and that was basically just to get there
digital store going.
m1312020
m1312020 - 11/12/2011, 7:09 PM
@Intruder Actually your the only one to state a company
here I'm stating comics as whole those are the numbers
read them.

This whole thing is about your statement that Marvel was
stomping DC which if look at the numbers was not true
they both where failing.

DC's 52 was the first time in four years we had a positive
in comics.Comics are selling stop hoping to go back
to stasis qua so fast.I want to enjoy print comics as
long as I can.
m1312020
m1312020 - 11/12/2011, 7:16 PM
@Intruder That's an opinion.I don't like comparing books
because I prefer do DC more as you prefer Marvel.
But to state it this way I'm enjoying the new DC and
Hulk(my first Marvel comic in six years).
m1312020
m1312020 - 11/12/2011, 7:28 PM
@Intruder This is a comment section not private chat.
I felt you where justifying a failing as success.Print
comics where dying DC's 52 stopped that for who knows
how long.Make no mistake they'll still die,but don't
wish for it to return to what it was the last six years
so soon.

Wish for Marvel to do something to counter this
so we can have even longer with print comics not
that we go back to losing.

@Intruder You clearly are a little to Marvel fanboy for
me to talk anymore on this subject.I could go back
into numbers and facts, but you'll spin it your way(seeing
your the one spinning it here to your company of choice).
I hope to have a conversation again with you when its not
bogged in fanboyism.

I'm not buying this story at all.

If you have to make Banner completely insane and borderline evil to make your story work, well, guess what? Your story's not working.

The idea that he's going mad w/out the Hulk in his head is an interesting one, but it's not written in an at-all believable way for me.

And they incorrectly spelled "re-create" as "recreate." I hate that.

Between the tumor and the loss of a piece of himself, it's no wonder he's gleefully stepped off of the deep end. Jeckyll misses Hyde. An interesting concept.
