COMICS: Hurricane Sandy Hits The Marvel Universe In First Look At HAWKEYE #7

Good on him! I'll buy it when it comes out if it makes a difference. I've been curious about this run for awhile.

Well played Mr. Fraction and Marvel. Class Act!! And because of that I will make sure to purchase this issue and get into this series. I've heard good things about this.

David Aja fills the void left by David Mazzuchelli. Love his stuff.. Hawkeye is a great comic too.

This is def in my top five favorites!

4- All New X-Men
5- The Flash

not a huge fan of the artwork on this and the inking is a bit off in the last 2 pages imo. That said i do completely appreciate the intentions behind it. Good on you, marvel! *thumbs up*

It's sad that this is a better comic than Slott's TASM...

Diggin' the retro pencilling. Hawkeye is such a great character and it's nice to finally see him getting his own series!

Can Marvel please stop shoe horning horrible real life events into comic book continuity? It took years to wash the 9/11 stuff out my my eyes, now they are going to do this about Hurricane Relief, in comic books where heroes control weather that could prevent the storm. Comics are a reality escape, if you want to donate proceeds and do a special cover and stuff like that. Bit I NEVER want to see something as stupid as Dr. Doom crying over Ground Zero ever again.

Fact #1. The US population is estimated at 315,039,000. Marvel Comics only reaches only about 50-60 thousand readers a month. They are no longer relevant in our culture and have not been for some time.

Fact #2. Marvel sales stats only reflect sales to dealers not actual customer sales, "Hawkeye" is a very poor selling comic with only 34,211 orders in Nov.

Fact #3. This is obviously an attempt by Marvel to get "Hawkeye" some coverage in the media in a hope it will increase the poor, pathetic sales on this very poorly done comic.

I not only agree with the post by Nivekian, I find it disgusting that Marvel not only tried to use 9/11 for an publicity stunt to regain some form of relevancy, but that we saw images of their CARTOON characters at ground zero when in fact we had REAL HEROES who were there dealing with the aftermath.

If Marvel had merely gave money to victims of 9-11 that would be honorable, especially if they did it without publicity. But Marvel did more than that. They published "TIE-INS" with their name and characters and used it as an opportunity for publicity at a time when they desperately needed it.

We do not need Marvel cartoons to help bring light or gravity to 9-11 or "Sandy". Real people suffered and continue to suffer and have died because of those events.
Real life disasters are times when we need to focus on REAL VICTIMS not focus on Marvel TOONS.
And REAL LIFE DISASTERS are horrible events not adventures of "Hawkeye" and "Spidey".

What's next? An image of Captain America crying at Sandy Hook Elementary? Why is it, I think something like that is coming from the UTTER SCUM at Marvel?

Hawkeye is doing better that some highly regarded and well received books like animal man and venom. For what is a secondary character in the avengers mythos, I'd say its doing well. And its not like the book has been anything short of well written and fun.
